Advantages: Cheap, kills 100% germs

Disadvantages: Not very thick, not as good as Domestos

As I have mentioned in other reviews I am on a bit of an economy drive. Bleach is something we always have in our house to clean our toilets and I usually use Domestos which I really like but when I saw these new Parazone Bleach bottles on sale for two for £1.60ish as compared to one bottle of Domestos that costs £1 I decided to give them a whirl, after all bleach is bleach right?

The bottles look just like regular bottles of bleach and I use the Parazone toilet wipes which I really like so I was hoping I was going to like this bleach. On the bottle it says that this bleach kills 100% of toilet germs and is the strongest bleach you can buy on the market today. It is proven to kill the flu virus including swine flu and it also says it will remove stains and deodorise your toilet. The bleach has a citrus smell but to be honest I did not find the smell too strong, maybe it's just me but I feel that a bleach has to smell really strong and really get into your lungs to know that it is working. After adding this bleach to my toilet I never really got that strong smell like I do with Domestos and after a while you could hardly tell that I had added any bleach so this was one negative for me.

The other biggest negative was that I found the liquid very weak and not very thick. With Domestos you get a really thick liquid that really sticks to the sides of your toilets and stays int he bowl for a very long time but with this bleach I found it was quite watery and hardly clung to the sides of my toilet at all. It just seemed to fall down the side of the pan and into the water so for me I felt like it was not really cleaning any of the sides of the toilet bowl which is where you expect to find the germs. Also, this bottle has a thin cap at the top which you use to squirt the liquid around the rim of the pan but after a couple of uses this cap actually fell off my bottle and into the toilet whilst I was pouring and so I ended up just pouring a whole load of bleach directly into the water so this was quite a waste for me.

The bottle does have a child lock on it which is good as you need to squeeze the pads on the side of the cap to twist it off and then it locks into place once you put the lid back on so it is a safe bleach to have around young children.

My toilets have been clean after using this bleach but I think in future I am going to stick with Domestos!
