Advantages: Effectively cleans, fresh orange scent, re-sealable pack easy to use/store, flushable
Disadvantages: None for me
I'm all for quick and easy cleaning as long as it's still effective, so when I saw these I picked a pack up to try. They did just what I'd wanted and expected, so I'll be buying them again.
Parozone is a popular brand in bathroom cleaning and I trust their products to be effective. Their Toilet Wipes, a Jeyes product (and again, a reputable name), come in an almost neon orange packet with yellow detailing at the top and bottom, so they stand out on the shelf fairly well. The brand is clearly recognisable on the front label along with a picture of, you guessed it, a toilet (just in case you weren't sure what Toilet Wipes were used for). The labels tell us this 'kills toilet germs' so the product is fairly self-explanatory. The orange packaging is in line with the fragrance of the wipes, which is, strangely enough, orange!
These claim to kill germs including Listeria, Salmonella and E.Coli, which is good to know and is important when it comes to a bathroom. To use, open the pack by peeling back the re-sealable label and pull out a wipe. Use this to wipe over toilet surfaces as you see fit, which can include the lid, cistern, seat and handle. Then when you're done, simply flush it away. It does note that no more than 3 wipes should be flushed each time. When finished, reseal the packet a bit like you would with make-up remover wipes to prevent them drying out.
I find these very easy to use by just wiping around the toilet and the fact that they can be flushed makes it safer in terms of not transferring germs anywhere else. It makes the job quick and painless, and they're good for getting to harder to reach places and getting rid of germs or dust etc where you may not normally clean, such as behind the toilet seat and in nooks and crannies underneath it.
The wipes are white and of a decent size to clean around the toilet. They have a very distinctive orange scent which I quite like because they're not what I usually associate with such products, as the scent can often be quite disinfectant-like. They're pleasant enough to uplift and refresh the bathroom but they're not overpowering at all.
I bought mine as a '25% extra free pack' which provided 50 wipes for the price of 40. It depends on how often you use them of course, but if you use a wipe or two each week then they're reasonable value for money because they do the job well. They're very easy to use and dispose of, so their practical aspects get a thumbs up from me. They leave the toilet looking clean and seeming refreshed, so I'd definitely buy again.
Pack of 40 wipes sells for around £1.50 (Tesco). Also available in other scents, such as Citrus.
