Sainsbury's Basics Liquid Toilet Cleaner
Advantages: GOOD PRICE
I have recently tried out the Sainsbury's Basics Liquid Toilet Cleaner and this is my review.
I have tried out a few of the products in the Sainsbury's Basics range and thought that some of them were very good value for money but other items were to basic for me and I would not buy them again. All of the items in the Sainsbury's Basics range have very plain packaging which is a white background with orange writing and it gives a very plain basic look to the products. This does not put me of to much as I am more bothered about what the items are like and am not to bothered about the packet they come in.
The Sainsbury's Basics Liquid Toilet Cleaner comes in a plain white plastic bottle which can be recycled which is good for me cos I like to do my bit for the environment.
The bottle is 750ml in size and I only paid 27 pence for the bottle which I think is great value. The toilet cleaner I usually buy costs me around 90 pence so I was pleased to save some money when I chose to buy the Sainsbury's cleaner instead of the one I usually buy.
The Sainsbury's Basics liquid toilet cleaner is pine fragranced and I thought the smell was very strong. I could smell the pine fragrance as soon as I took the lid of the bottle. I thought the smell was alright but it was very strong and it felt like it was catching in my throat when I was using it. It passed after a minute or so and this is something that I think happens with most bathroom cleaner products when I am using them. I think it is cos of the strong chemicals and cleaning agents that they have in them.
The toilet cleaner is a bright green colour and this is what I expected it to be like and most other pine toilet cleaners that I have used before have been a green colour too. It was easy to squirt the liquid around the inside of the toilet and there is a little hole on the red lid on top of the bottle so the liquid comes out of there easily and it is not to thick. I leave the liquid for an hour or two then scrub it around the bowl then I flush the toilet to rinse it off. After I have rinsed it off the toilet bowl looks very clean and shiny so I think the Sainsbury's Basics cleaner is good at doing what it says it will do and I thought it worked well and left my toilet nice and shiny. The bright green liquid has never left a stain or mark on my toilet bowl and it rinses off easily and I was pleased about that otherwise it would have meant more work for me to clean the toilet bowl.
I thought the Sainsbury's Basics Toilet Cleaner spread around the bowl easily so I did not need to use to much of the liquid each time I cleaned the toilet so the 750ml bottle will last me quite a long time. I use bleach on my toilet bowl every couple of days to kill germs so by using both products on my toilet bowl I know that it looks clean and smells fresh and I have killed any germs and bacteria that are in the bowl.
I would suggest giving the Sainsbury's Basics Toilet Cleaner a try out and I will buy it again as I thought it was a very good cleaner product and it cost me less than 30 pence so I think it is a good way to save a bit of money on your shopping bill.
