“ Brand: Sainsbury's / Type: Washing Up Liquid / Category: Cleaning & Disinfectant „
My favourite washing up liquid has not been on special offer recently so I have been trying a few different ones including this own brand lemon one from Sainsbury's. The lemon washing up liquid comes in a 450ml bottle and was priced at 80p each or two bottles for £1.00. I took advantage of the offer and purchased one bottle of the original and one of the lemon scent which I thought was excellent value. The washing up liquid corms packaged in a tear drop shaped clear plastic bottle with a flip top red cap. As the bottle is clear you can see the bright yellow liquid inside. There are stick on labels on the front and back of the bottle which provide all the information you need to know about the liquid including directions for use, ingredients and warnings. It also states that the bottle is suitable for recycling. This washing up liquid claims to leave dishes sparkling clean, cut through grease and grime and is great for baked on food. To use you simply squeeze a small amount into a bowl of hot running water. I have been really impressed with this washing up liquid which took me by surprise as many own brand ones I have used in the past have been disappointing. The liquid has a lovely zesty lemon fragrance and you only need to use a small amount to get a nice lather. It also seems to cut through grease easily and after a short soak baked on food only needs a gentle scrub with a scourer to be removed. I have found that this washing up liquid leaves my glass wear shiny and clean too and there is no residue or taste left on my dishes even though the lemon fragrance when using the liquid is quite strong. This washing up liquid has also been gentle on my skin and even when not wearing rubber gloves I have not experience any reaction or skin irritation although it is obviously always advisable to rinse your hands after use. Overall I have been really impressed with this washing up liquid especially for the bargain price. It works just as well as some of the branded liquids and leaves with shines glasses and grease free baking trays. I would certainly purchase this washing up liquid again and would highly recommend it.
I tend to avoid writing cleaning product reviews but looking through my cupboards I realised there are so many products I could give my opinion on and at the end of the day, cleaning products are important in everybody's home and it's important to get value for money. I am not brand loyal with washing up liquid and tend to grab the best offers, the last bottle I used was Sainsbury's Lemon Grove washing up liquid for 85p for the 500ml bottle. The scent is lovely and lemony, the kind you associate with a fresh cleaning product. I squirted the usual amount not the washing up bowl under running water and was pleased with the outcome, it did cut through the grease on the pans and trays and bought them up nice and clean. I added a very small amount more as there didn't seem to be enough but it wasn't as thin constancy as I'd expected. The lemon scent coming from the bowl was really nice too, it made the kitchen small nice during washing up and for a short time after. The bottle is a clear plastic that can (and should) be recycled as we all know plastic does not biodegrade. I would buy this again as I think it is just as good as the top brands, although you may have to use a drop more it still works out better value. Thanks for reading.
I picked up a bottle of this the other week. It was the first time that I had tried this and although I don't use Washing Up Liquid much due to having a Dishwasher but it's handy to have a bottle of Liquid in the house as I "have" to wash the odd glass due to my hubby and his branded Beer glass collection (he never washes them though!!) I picked up a 500ml bottle of this for 85p so a good bit cheaper than the branded versions but much the same price as other Supermarket branded versions. The bottle for this is alright. Just a simple plastic bottle and you can see the bright yellow Gel through the bottle and it looks nice and fresh. This is a decent thickness but not quite as thick as Persil Gel, but still a little blob of this under Hot running water will provide a good enough mound of fine Bubbles. The Bubbles disappear a little due to if the water is a little greasy with dishes or that, but there is still a good amount of Bubbles left once I have finished the Dishes. Essentially this is just a Lemon scented Liquid and I assume the Lemon Grove branding is more to make this sound a bit more exotic than just saying that this is Lemon scented. It is a nice scent of Lemon though and smells fresh and not all that tart smelling. A good Washing up Liquid and thesedays I tend to reach more for the Supermarket branded ones as they seem to be just as good as the brand named ones but a cheaper price which is always good thesedays.
I have recently tried out the Sainsbury's Lemon Grove washing up liquid and this is my review. I have been trying out some of the Sainsbury's own items rather than always buying a big brand name to see if I can save some money on my weekly shop. I have found some of the items are really good and I would not notice much difference but other items have not been so good. The Sainsbury's Lemon Grove Washing Up liquid is in a clear plastic bottle which can be recycled and this is good for me cos I like to do my bit for the environment. I just wash the bottle out once I am finished and it can be put in the recycling bin. The bottle I bought is a 500ml sized bottle and this cost me 85 pence but there is a larger sized bottle that is 1litre size and this costs only £1.35 so it works out to be even better value if you buy the larger bottle. The Lemon Grove washing up liquid is a bright yellow colour and the liquid is not to thin or runny. I think the colour of the liquid is nice and bright and it looks nice in the bottle. The smell of lemon is lovely and fresh and I can smell the washing up liquid as soon as I add it to my basin of hot water ready to wash up my dishes. The Sainsbury's Lemon Liquid works very well at washing my plates and crockery and I think it is a good quality washing up liquid. I think that even with greasy or really dirty plates it washes them very well and seems to cut through grease easily. This means that I do not need to use to much of the liquid to wash up greasy plates which is what I usually need to do if I have bought a very cheap washing up liquid so I am pleased about that. The liquid cleans my dishes just fine and it is good at removing any grease or fat from dishes or cooking pans. I use washing up liquid at least three times a day in my house and I thought that the Sainsbury's Lemon Grove Washing Up liquid bottle lasted well enough and did not run out to quickly even though I wash my dishes quite often. I think because I did not need to use to much of the liquid to wash up my dishes properly it made the bottle last quite a long time. The Sainsbury's Lemon Grove liquid is not to harsh on my skin and it did not dry out my hands. Some cheap washing up liquids can make the skin on my hands quite dry and itchy so I was glad that the Sainsbury's lemon one did not do this. I would suggest giving the Sainsbury's Lemon Grove Washing Up Liquid a try out cos I thought it was a good washing up liquid to use on my dirty dishes and it was a lot cheaper than buying a washing up liquid in a bigger brand. The lemon smell was lovely when I was using the liquid and it did not make my hands itch after I had used it.
Like most people nowadays I'm on a tight budget and try to make savings any way I can when I'm doing my weekly grocery shop. Sometimes I'm wary about buying own brand or budget cleaning products as they can sometimes be very questionable in quality and effectiveness, however generally I've found Sainsbury's own brand cleaning products to be pretty good. This washing up liquid comes in 500ml or 1l bottles, and in various scents, such as lemon, lavender, and apple. I like the smell of lemons so this was the type that I decided to buy. The clear plastic bottle is very much designed to appear the same as Fairy Liquid, being a curved pear shape - wider at the bottom, then tapering at the top to a red plastic lid that you can flip open and then clip shut. The labels on the front of the bottle have large red writing. Very basic and simple looking, but it's just plain old washing up liquid so there is no need for overly fancy packaging. The liquid smells fresh and lemony - very clean and pleasant. This washing up liquid costs 85p for 500ml, or £1.35 for 1l. I'd estimate that that's about 50p cheaper than Fairy Liquid's similar sized bottles. While that's a saving, ultimately I'm not sure you would save money in the long term. The liquid itself is rather thin as opposed to the more gloopy Fairy Liquid, and therefore when you squirt it out, a lot does tend to come out in one go. One of Fairy Liquid's big claims is that their washing up liquid does last for a long time, and in this case I do see what they mean. This product creates a lot of bubbles very quickly; in fact more so than Fairy. Cleaning wise, I found this liquid to be just as good when doing my usual dishes. It cleaned both cutlery and plates etc very well, and the dishes weren't streaky or still covered in bubble residue once they had dried off. I did find one big advantage when using this washing up liquid. I drink a lot of tea and coffee and so the bulk of my dishes are cups and mugs. I find tea and coffee stains on my mugs a real pain to clean off, and I found that this liquid seemed to clean the stains off far better than Fairy. I didn't have to scrub at them to remove the stains like I normally do, as the bubbles seemed to do all that work for me. For this reason alone, I will continue to buy this product rather than going back to Fairy. I would recommend this washing up liquid. It may not last as long as the main name brand, but the price and the fact it works well outweighs this.
I bought this washing up liquid a couple of weeks ago whilst out shopping at sainsburys. I always go for supermarket brand washing up liquid as they are usually just as good as the leading brand and this one was no different. It costs just £1 which in my opinion is a decent price as it lasts about 6 weeks, you don't have to use hardly any of this product to wash your dishes properly. It comes in a clear plastic bottle and you can see the product in the bottle, which is a deep yellow colour. I like the colour of this product, it looks nice enough to have out in your kitchen. The lid you just flick up and squeeze the bottle gently to get the washing up liquid out, and the lid flicks shut again. It does come out of the bottle easily, you only need to tilt the bottle a bit really to get enough out. I add a small squirt of this liquid to my sink whilst the hot water is running, and it makes a really good amount of bubbles. I hate it when a washing up liquid doesn't lather up and make lots of bubbles as it doesn't seem like your cleaning without the bubbles! They do last a long time too, theres no need to keep topping up your water with it, as they do last until I have finished my dishes. My dishes was feel so clean and sparkling when I have used this washing up liquid, it cleans my dishes really well. I bought this washing up liquid instead of some of the others on sale due to the lemon fragrance. I love anything that smells of lemons, and this washing up liquid smells lovely and fresh. It isn't too strong, just enough so you can smell the lemons. I haven't got anything bad to say about this washing up liquid, it is cheap, smells lovely, makes lots of bubbles and cleans my dishes without any hassle!
Washing the dishes is a chore I do every day in my home and I do my fair share of cooking and chores around the home and I do not mind washing them to be honest because I watch television at the same time in my kitchen and a different programme to what my wife is watching in the lounge as it is usually when the soaps she loves to watch in peace because she tells me I talk at the wrong time lol. This washing up liquid is one I bought from Sainsbury's, I paid just over £1 for a 1 litre bottle. The bottle is clear plastic and it is not such a fancy design writing on the front but it looks quite nice, it does not really matter to me what a label looks like as long as the product is good. The bottle also has a flip top which can be replaced after it has been used. The washing up liquid is a thick yellow colour, it is a nice smooth texture and it is really easy to squeeze from the bottle, it is thick for a non branded liquid and it has a really nice smell of Lemons, the smell is just the right amount that I like from a liquid because I sometimes find some are too over powering but this one is just right. It is very good value for the price and it is a good quality, I only pour a small amount into the washing bowl and add the water in the normal way and it lathers very well, what I really like about this product is the amount of time the bubbles last, they last all the time that I am washing my dishes etc and when I have left the water sitting in the bowl, the water with the bubbles are still there sometime later, which is really good and then means I do not have to keep adding liquid to finish my dishes etc. It cuts into my greasy plates and dishes and it leaves them nice and clean, I have found that this one does not tend to leave streaky marks on the dishes after they have been cleaned and it cleans my glasses very well indeed and they sparkle and shine too. I have found the dishes are very easy to rinse with this liquid with no problems at all and there is no taste on the dishes when they are dry. Because the quality is good and it cuts through grease easily, it then makes washing the dishes easier work and so there is no need to keep scrubbing the dishes to remove the grease because it just falls from them. It also cleans my pans well too. This gives me all that I require from a washing up liquid and for the price I just think it is worth the money and I recommend it to anyone to try and buy it as I think it is very good and only a little is needed to wash the dishes and to work well. I rate it 5 stars.
One of my cats is not too well and she is 18 years old and failing a little and she has to have monthly injections for a complaint and it is going to become quite costly as we all know with vet fees but we have to pay them as we just love our pets so much and it is worth it to us and so I am looking around for cheaper brands and items when possible and trying them to see if I like them and if I do I will be continuing to buy them in the very near future along side the usual branded ones I like, especially if they are on special offer as they work out a very good price. I bought this washing up liquid from Sainsbury's recently and for a litre bottle it cost only £1 for 2 bottles and the usual price was around 89p each, so it was a good saving and I thought I would give it a try and I was not disappointed. It comes in a transparent plastic bottle and pretty basic with a flip back top, and inside it is a thick yellow liquid and it lathers quite well in the water and only a little is needed and at first I thought it would be so thin I would have to use a lot to get a lather but I was mistaken. It has a nice lemon fragrance with a hint of perfume and it does smell very nice and fresh, it cleans the dishes perfectly and it rinses very well too and a little goes a long way and it holds the bubbles and in my opinion it is extremely good value for money. It cuts through those greasy dishes and works well and the dishes sparkle too and I thought it would leave streaks on the dishes but it did not, which I was happy about because there is nothing worse than washing the dishes and then having streaks all over them and the glasses were streak free too, which I was highly delighted because I entertain quite a lot and when it comes to washing the glasses, I like them streak free and sparkly and this liquid did the job perfectly. I do highly recommend this liquid to anyone on a low budget or not as I think you will not be disappointed in my opinion and it can save a lot of money and I will certainly be buying it again, especially when it is on special offer. I give it 5 stars. Thank you for reading my review.
I usually use Fairy washing up liquid, more out of habit than anything else. Always on the lookout for a bargain, however, I saw this in Sainsbury's a few weeks ago and decided to give it a go. The product comes in the standard see through, squirty bottle ala Fairy and other branded versions. This is good because it means that you can easily see how much there is left before you need to buy more. I was surprised to find that this product lasted me as long as the branded alternative. I had expected that the lower price would mean that I needed to use more of the product in each wash, but this turned out to be false. It has a lovely lemony smell and a quick squirt into running hot water produces a rich and abundant lather of bubbles. At 99p for a litre it really is a bargain as far as im concerned. The only downside to this product is that there is no mention of any antibacterial agents in the ingredients. Sainsburys lemon grove washing up liquid is good at cutting through grease but I would prefer it if it contained an anti bacterial agent to kill any festering germs also. All in all though this product is really good value for money and does exactly what it says on the tin and I would certainly recommend it to those looking to save a bit on their shopping bills.
Sainsbury's Lemon Grove Washing up liquid. I usually use fairy but this one was on special offer in my local Sainsbury's priced at 99p for a whole 1 litre bottle. This comes in a see through bottle plastic with a grip at the top to make it easy to pick up. Its a bigger pack, so better value. Make light work of all that greesy dirty washing up, which I have to do in my household. And this one does cut through greese and grime leaving your dishes and glasses sparkling. You obviously get a lovely smell as you add just a little of this to your washing up bowl, or sink, and running hot water on this it adds a few nice bubbles for a little use. It absolutely smells lovely and obviously it smells of lemons, and thats a nice fresh smell to have in any kitchen. I am unfortunate to not be the proud owner of a dis washer, due to firstly the lack of space, and secondly the lack of need to waste my money on this, as i live alone and apart from when my family come to visit, thats my four children and seven grandchildren, i only have myself to wash up for, so its important for me to have a cheaper washing up liquid that i dont mind using on a little bit of washing up, although i do do this regularly, i sometimes over the weekend tend to let it pile up, then spend a bit of time, washing up, rinsing as obviously you will get to taste the lemon washing up liquid, and then drying up and putting them all away for the next use. On the back of the bottle, it contains information: Caution: Keep away from children. Keep away from eyes, i guess because it does look so lemonly children might mistake this for a lemon squash, but i always keep mine out of reach of little hands anyway. Always rinse hands after use. People with sensitive skin or hands, or damaged skin should avoid prolonged contact with this product. Do not ingest, if you do seek medicial advice. This is not suitable for use on clothing or fabrics. This plastic bottle is widely recycled. If you are not happy with the product, you can ring the careline telephone number located at the back of the bottle. Directions : Use Sparingly. As I have already mentioned a little of this goes a long long way, and does produce good larther, and bubbles, it does cut through ground on dirt greese and grime, and I have no problems with using this and im sure that this new bigger sized bottle will go a long long way, before I have to replace it. I have only recently spotted this one on sale, im not sure how long it has been on the market, but maybe just because it is in a larger sized bottle, that I happened to spot this one, I have an eye for a bargain, when it comes to saving a few pence, im there. Website is WWW.detergentinfo.com. I absolutely loved this product so will be awarding it full marks, and it did not effect my skin at all, and I am more than happy with the results, and the saving on my pocket too. Thanks for reading and rating my reviews :}
In my house we have a dishwasher...ME! I actually enjoy washing up and not drying one bit so I always try and bag that job lol. This turned up a couple of weeks back now and this is of course what I have been using to spruce up our very dirty washing up every time I wash up lol! The Packaging: 500ml see-through plastic bottle with a grip section to the top of it and a flip top opening red lid to the top of it concealing a small hole. On the front of the bottle there is a yellow label and on that in red and white writing I'm told it is Sainsbury's Lemon Grove Washing Up Liquid 'For sparkling grease free dishes'. On the back label other information given includes directions for use being listed, cautions, the size is stated and contact details for Sainsbury's are given. It's a nice enough bottle, informative enough and I do like the dent to the top of the bottle allowing ease of use, particularly when you have wet hands etc. Me Using It: Well the liquid is a bright transparent yellow colour and runny enough to squeeze out of the bottle but not like water or anything like that. It smells naturally fresh and of lemons and isn't a faky sort of smell at all but really zesty. I find I need very little of this in a bowl or in a sink of warm water to get a wonderful fragrance and plenty of white, rich lather. Not only is this kind of my hands it's a powerful dirt, grease and grime remover. It freshens and makes things sparkly with minimal effort and leaves everything squeaky clean without me having to break my back. For more baked on problems like pans etc I simply fill those up with a smidgen of this and as hot as I can get water and leave it a few minutes and voila...job done, I simply give the item a wee scrub. Verdict: A product that cos you don't need very much of it at all works out really economical. I love the fresh fragrance that uplifts and freshens my kitchen, I like the way my hands are baby soft after using it but most of all I really do appreciate the fact it cleans so well and I don't to work so hard. It rinses off with ease and all round this is a jolly nice washing up liquid really! Only available in Sainsbury's stores priced about 70p a bottle (which is about 30p cheaper than a branded product the same size and fragrance of this!). Recommended from moi!
