... Clean Scent and it had a blue coloured lid. It prides itself on actually dealing with the odour rather tham simply masking it like other air fresheners do, and then the smell actually returns. According to the information that is on the can, this product works by attaching itself to odour causing bacteria and killing them, thus dealing effectively with the smell. It claims to be ideal for odours created by dirty laundry, pets and mildew. A can of this air sanitiser costs between £1.50 and £2 and is availab...more

I am a great believer in having my house smelling beautiful! I always have scented candles burning (when I'm in!) but sometimes you need a quick fix for those nasty niffs! Fish, eggs and occasionally the bathroom! This is when I reach for my can of Oust. Available in 300ml aerosol cans Oust comes in 3 scents - Fresh, Garden Fresh and Citrus/Clean scent. Bright and colourful cans with an easy to use spray top with no lid to lose. Oust claims to eliminate everyday odours such as pets, smoke, cooking, bathroom etc. claiming that other air fresheners only mask these smells. ==Does it Work?== The first time I used Oust was after I had ...  Read the complete review

This Gets Right Up My nose! (451 words)

There are several varieties of Oust Odour Eliminator, or air spray, for those of us who aren't quite so posh. The only one I have tried is the 'outdoor scent' flavour, so that's the only one I can comment on, and the only one that I am likely to try, as you will understand after you read this article. This product is an aerosol made by Johnson & Johnson and it is supposed to eliminate nasty smells without simply masking them. According to the manufacturer it has a very special chemical formula that neutralises bad odours. Complicated chemical compositions generally start alarm bells ringing in my head, particularly when linked to aerosols and ozone layers ...  Read the complete review

SC Johnson Oust: Oust Odour Elimiator Outdoor Scent. (472 words)

We get through loads of air fresheners in our house; we like our home smelling nice and fresh and as my partner is a smoker the use of air fresheners along with cleaning regularly is essential for us. We've tried many different air fresheners since we moved in but a brand we've really settled on is Oust and the one I'm reviewing now is the Outdoor scent. Oust Outdoor costs up to £2 in the supermarkets, we usually just stock up from B&M though as they have them for just 99p each which is a good saving especially as we use a lot. Oust Outdoor comes in a 300ml; tall aerosol can with a brightly coloured pink top. The branding is very obvious and the cans ...  Read the complete review

Oust that Smell! (687 words)

I have a confession to make that will shock many faithful users of this site. I have never, no never, Yankee Candled. I can hear the gasps from here!. Neither have I Airwicked nor Ambipured or Ambi airiated (made that word up). Poor deprived woman, why should this be?" I shall tell you. Living on boats that are normally stuffed full of miles of electric cables to feed pumps, appliances, air con, navigation equipment and all the other stuff, (and there is a lot,) that you need to run a large Gin Palace, your nose becomes an early warning system. The words "I can smell something and it smells hot" strikes fear into the heart of Capt Splishsplash and has ...  Read the complete review

SC Johnson Oust: Oust citrus - Doesn't do dog (699 words)

A can of odour eliminating spray is usually in my trolley, and I generally buy whatever is the best price at the time (and I do like to try different ones). This is how I came to buy Oust odour eliminator in citrus scent. Strangely, considering Oust was one of the first widely advertised to eliminate rather than mask odours as far as I am aware, I had never tried it before (with the exception of the Glade REfresh I love, which has 'Oust technology'). I got it in Semi Chem for the princely sum of £1, which is what I usually try to pay for these sprays since there's always one to be had for around that price. This comes in a regular 300ml aerosol can, with the ...  Read the complete review
