As an avid money saver and religious reader of moneysavingexpert.com I am always on the look out for a bargain. Now remember a bargain isn't a bargain if it does not work!!

I can remember, many moons ago, my mum buying a bottle of stardrops from Semi Chem and the like for pennies (this was when it came in glass bottles!!). She would then go on to clear the entire house with it. Not only was the house sparkling clean, it always smelled clean and fresh too.

So it no wonder that when I moved into my new house I went shopping for some household cleaners. Now, I spotted the orangey coulored liquid on the shelf and picked it up. I also noticed that it was on special offer at 39 pence. So I promptly bought it!

Since that day I have never purchase any other household cleaners. I can clean my whole house (literally) with this cleaner. I just add a few dashes to a basin full of boiling water and clean! My work surfaces are left gleaming, my bathroom suite is sparkling (no mean feat especially after my other half has a bath!!) and you could have a picnic on the kitchen floor (well not quite!)

For more stubborn stains I just put a few drops of the concentrated cleaner on and leave for five minutes, when I come back the stain removes so easily.

Now Stardrops comes in a variety of flavours (??) We have pine fresh, stardrops with amonia and the original stardrops. It also now comes with a spray bottle. The average price for this cleaner is in the region of 70-90 pence. I normally pick it up with every shop (just incase every single shop runs out and I have a cleaning emergency!!) so as you can imagine my cleaner cupboard is chock full of this cleaner.

I can honestly say that this is the best all in one, jack of all trade cleaners that I have found. The only thing that beats it is good old bicarb and white vinegar! But then I'm no Kim or Aggy so its stardrops all the way.
