“ Brand: Surcare / Type: Washing Up Liquid / Category: Cleaning & Disinfectant „
I have started to get irritated skin again from my laundry detergent and decided to bin the one I had and buy one that was kind to sensitive skin. However, sometimes even the sensitive skin detergents have a really concentrated smell which is what brought my attention to this Surcare Fragrance Free Laundry Detergent. It looked like a reputable enough brand as well as the fact it sounded like just what I was looking for and it was a fantastic price just to add to my amazement, it was definitely worth giving it a try.
This detergent comes in a very natural looking bottle which narrows at the top almost like a waist. It has an image of a blue sky with bright green grass and gives off this pure image as well as having the Surcare logo on the front and how many washes a bottle will do. The lid is white and it has a few bubbles about the bottle and the liquid inside is yellow which is quite unusual. It states that it is a fragrance free product, ideal for those with eczema and has a few other details.
SURCARE NON-BIO FRAGRANCE FREE
The detergent is developed for those with sensitive skin, like myself as it is free from perfumes and dyes. It is non biological, effective at cleaning on a 30 degree wash and it has been dermatologically tested and approved. A normal 630ml bottle will do 18 standard washes which is good enough for me. Also in terms of warnings, this should be kept out of reach of children, kept away from eyes and rinsed thoroughly with water if it gets into eyes. Also, rinse and dry hands after use and avoid prolonged contact if you have sensitive skin and do not ingest this.
This product has not been tested on animals and now for using this to wash. I use the cap to measure how much I will use. It is all to do with the water hardness in your area but 1 capful is 35ml and to be honest this is what I normally use when doing a wash and it keeps my clothes clean. I may be imagining this but it has the slightest zesty scent which is maybe why it is yellow but being fragrance free doesn't bother me as I'd rather my skin looked good than coming out in a rash because this was scented, it isn't worth it for me.
To use this fill the cap and then put it into your machine, in the drawer area. This is not recommended for use on wool or silk, store this in a cool, dry place and keep away from sunlight. I always find that once my clothes are out of the wash, they always seem thoroughly clean and they seem to smell fresh. I always find that my clothes have no stains and the colour looks vibrant and good as new. I find you don't need to use too much of this washing detergent and it lasts me a good while, per bottle which is great.
I have been using this for a good few months now and I can safely say that this does not cause my skin to flare up at all. I do not find any irritation which is a miracle for me as being fragrance free and if you do suffer from sensitive skin like I do and find it hard to find a detergent that works, then you really have to give this one a try as it is reliable. I will definitely be buying this Surcare detergent again as at the price it is and being so effective it is definitely really good value for money.
INGREDIENTS: Surcare Non-Bio Superconcentrated Laundry Liquid contains amongst other ingredients 5-15% Non-Ionic Surfactants, Anionic Surfactants, Soap, Less than 5% Phosphonate, Also contains: Optical Brightener .
To buy this you can get it in all supermarkets, I buy it in Tesco and Asda. Asda sell the 630ml bottle for £2. This is the best deal as Tesco have it on offer at £2.25 instead of £2.79 on the same size but even on offer, Asda still beat them.
The official Surcare website is http://www.surcare.co.uk/.
All my family have sensitive skin so need to be careful what products we use, not just directly on our skin, but also on our clothes. Washing clothes in harsh chemicals is a definite no-no, but I still need to be able to get them clean.
Surcare is a non-biological washing liquid that is not perfumed and with no colourings in it. It is packaged in a neat blue bottle and costs about £2.79 for 630 litres. Each bottle contains enough liquid for 18 washes. That's just over 15p per wash.
The first time I used Surcare, for some reason I wasn't convinced it would get the clothes as clean as Fairy Non-Bio did, but I was pleasantly surprised. The clothes came out as good as they did with Fairy, but with no residual perfume on them and they felt soft as well. The real test was wearing them though!
With other non-bio washing liquids, myself and particularly my daughter would get nasty itchy patches on our skin which drove us mad at times. Since using Surcare, this has all cleared up. No more rashes and nice clean clothes! Can't argue with that!
You can buy Surcare in Tesco and Sainsburies, but if you still have trouble finding it, they have their own website, where you can purchase all their products direct.
