Out of the packet the antibacterial wipes are very reminiscent of those microwaveable, individually-wrapped, disposable hot towels they hand round at the end of the meal in Indian restaurants: they're like heavy-duty, woven wet-wipes. I soon found on the vinyl-covered kitchen floor that 'spot cleaning' wasn't sufficient: I felt I should give the whole area a bit of a wiping-over. I used the wipe like a cleaning cloth in my han...more

Tesco Anti-Bacterial Floor Wipes: All-pervadingly lemony (even through the sealed packet) (590 words)

Tesco Antibacterial Floor Wipes cost £1 for a packet of 15, so they're about the eight pence mark each. They come in a flat plastic wallet just like a packet of baby wet-wipes - with a clear sticky-plastic re-sealing strip over the wipes' 'exit hole'. They're impregnated with some kind of lemon-scented cleaning / anti-bacterial fluid; even before I opened it for the first time I could smell the wipes quite strongly whenever I went past the shelf I'd stored them on - so fortunately it's quite a mild, pleasant lemony smell. Our kitchen floor is receiving some heavy-duty dirtying at the moment, as we have two young children. I don't wash it all that often ...  Read the complete review

No more yucky sticky floor (320 words)

My kitchen floor has a y lot to deal with.... with young children every mealtime is somewhat interesting and usually there is some kind of spillage. My youngest little bubba is just starting to become slightly mobile... he has worked out how to roll around and this has meant that I have to ensure that the floors are as clean as they can be. I usually use the directl floor cleaners to clean my laminate kitchen floor but to be honest I only usually do a proper mop a couple of times a week. A couple of months ago I discovered these Tesco Anti-Bacterial Floor wipes and they have become really handy when I just need to give a specific area a quick clean or I just ...  Read the complete review

Tesco Anti-Bacterial Floor Wipes: Lemony fresh wipes! (323 words)

Having moved house last year, I found myself rejoicing in the fact it has laminate flooring and a tiled kitchen and conservatory. Tesco anti bacterial floor wipes help to keep the floors in my home clean fresh and very sparkling indeed!! These are located in the cleaning aisle at Tesco as you might expect, the packaging sticks out being a big blue plastic packet. They are priced at a pound or thereabouts and have 15 large wipes in one packet. They are sealed by a resealable flap on the front of the packet which helps stop them from drying out, just take one large wipe out and reseal the plastic front back down again. The wipes are about 30cm by 20cm ...  Read the complete review

In our house the downstairs is completely covered in laminate flooring and Stone Tiles, so cleaning it can be abit tiresome, especially with a dog when we comes in when muddy paws!I used to hate having to constantly get the mop out, fill the bucket use it then wait ages for the floors to dry, for them to then dry streaky when you catch it in the light. I spotted these wipes in Tescos and thought they would be handy, originally I used them attached to one of the brooms you used to be able to get with the water canister attached for disinfectant, but I soon got fed up of the cannister getting clogged and started using them on my hands and knees, with some gloves to protect  Read the complete review

Tesco Anti-Bacterial Floor Wipes: WIPE out those germs! (289 words)

Most of our house has tiled or laminated floors so instead of doing a lot of hovering we tend to do a lot of cleaning and mopping, we have over time used a good few different cleaners and stuff on our various floors but we have recent found a wipe that can take care of all our floors. These Tesco antibacterial wipes can be used in hand to wipe up small spills or marks or can be easily fitted to flat mop systems or sweeper systems with wipe attachments if you are going to do a whole floor and once used you simply detach and bin the old wipe and add a new one if needed. The antibacterial benefit of these wipes mean that as well as having clean floors ...  Read the complete review
