This is my first choice washing up liquid, well worth using if you're looking to save a few pennies

Tesco's household cleaning products cover a wide range of uses and are an affordable alternative to major brand name items. This one caught my eye because of its lovely colour and ingredients, and I have been using it for several months now.

First of all the price is exceedingly good value. At £0.88 for a 500ml bottle it is easily affordable. A bottle of this size will last me several months (it's only me and my partner living together, so those living in larger households could go through a lot more quickly). These washing up liquids appear to be on offer quite frequently so I usually buy a couple when they are Buy One Get One Free, there is also a Lavender scented version which I have not tried thus far.

To use, you simply add to a bowl of running hot water. You can use a fairly small amount and still get an ample amount of bubbles, I find that putting the tap on a bit stronger increases the amount of bubbles. The liquid itself is quite thick and not at all runny, it is easy to control how much you are squeezing out of the bottle. I like that the clear bottle shows you exactly how much liquid you have left, no worries about running our unexpectedly! The bubbles last very well and provide good cleaning power.

I have experienced positive results every time when using this liquid. My dishes are always clean with a minimal amount of scrubbing, and it cuts through messy stains easily. For anything particularly greasy, I put a small dash of liquid straight onto the cleaning sponge and then give it a rub before washing thoroughly as usual. We all get burnt on food after preparing a big meal, and in these cases I fill the dirty pans and dishes with some of the hot soapy washing up water. After leaving for a while (usually the duration that it takes me to finish the rest of the load of dishes) the soaked dishes are then much easier to clean as the liquid breaks down the burnt bits and softens it so it comes away more easily.

This washing up liquid has antibacterial properties which is essential for keeping a modern home clean and safe. It also helps to ensure any bacteria lurking on your hands is killed and not transferred to the dishes that you are trying to clean. After checking the ingredients you can see that this contains various chemicals, however I have never had dried out or damaged hands when using this, it's not exactly softening but it's not harsh either.

The smell is wonderful and really gives a fresh clean feeling. Lime and ginger is a gorgeous combination, and it makes doing a household chore a bit more pleasurable than it would be otherwise. The liquid gives off a sweet, citrussy scent which seems neither sharp nor artificial, Tesco have done a good job here. I would say this definitely matches up to other more expensive products available on the market, and it has always worked well for me.

Tesco Anti-bacterial lime and ginger washing-up liquid contains amongst other ingredients, 15 - 30% Anionic Surfactant Less that 5% Nonionic Surfactant, Amphoteric Surfactant,
Also contains Disinfectant, Formaldehyde, 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1, 3-Diol, Methylisothiazolinone, Dimethylol Glycol, Perfume, Linalool, Limonene.

Thanks dooyoo for adding my suggested product, I really would recommend this to anyone!
