      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      It works - but it stinks!

      ~~~~~~~~~~
      Average spray
      ~~~~~~~~~~
      I don't often shop in Tesco but I bought this a while back on a rare visit to the store. It costs £1.25 for a 500ml bottle although it is currently on a 2 for £2 deal.

      This comes in a pretty average looking spray bottle - white with an orange and blue label. It has the usual trigger spray that you would expect.

      It's for use all around the kitchen, including cooker tops, worktops and other surfaces and the sink. You simply hold the spray 15-30cm from the surface you wish to clean, give it a wipe and then rinse. Simple!

      ~~~~~~~~
      Easy to use
      ~~~~~~~~
      As a cleaner this works really well and does what you want it to. It's very easy to use and it's perfectly simple to spray wipe off and rinse after use, leaving surfaces looking clean and quite shiny even on stubborn stains on my hobs I haven't had any problems, and the bleach content means it's good on my white sink, which does tend to pick up tea stains and so on.

      ~~~~~~~~~~~
      A bit of a stinker
      ~~~~~~~~~~~
      But for me, the bleach content is part of the problem as this product smells so strongly of bleach it actually makes it unpleasant to use! Although it's good to know that it's going to give surfaces a thorough clean and kill germs the smell actually puts me off using this and I tend to use it quite reluctantly in a bid to use it up - although since buying it I've also bought other products that I'm more likely to use! The bleach smell also lingers after use and this is enough to put me off buying it again if I am honest - of course products with bleach are going to have an odour but this product is really over-powering.

      ~~~~~~~~
      In summary
      ~~~~~~~~
      Overall this is a good effective cleaner that works well in the kitchen on a variety of surfaces. However the smell of bleach is overpowering and means I won't be buying this again.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        A good cleaner for the money

        When it comes to buying kitchen cleaner I'm not too bothered on which brand I go for as long as its decent and does the job it is meant to, in fact I normally go for whatever is on offer or works out the cheapest. Recently I was looking for a reasonably priced kitchen cleaner and spotted Tesco Kitchen Cleaner Spray with Bleach, a cleaner with bleach is something I'm never too sure about, I do like a bit of bleach but on the down side I am always worried I'm going to get it down me and ruin whatever I am wearing, however this was by far the cheapest available so I decided to go with it and just make sure I was extra careful.

        Packaging
        The Kitchen Cleaner with Bleach comes in a white plastic trigger spray bottle, this is wide towards the bottom with a narrow neck making holding the bottle whilst cleaning easy, the trigger on the top of the bottle is clear and bright orange plastic, this also screws on and off of the top of the bottle. There is an oval shaped label on the front of the bottle, this has a large blue square towards the top of it with the words "Tesco Kitchen Cleaner with Bleach" written inside it in white and yellow writing. The rest of the label has a bright orange background with a picture of a shiny sink on it, also listed at the bottom are a few bullet points stating what the product does. The back if the bottle has a plain white label on it containing all the necessary product information, this includes what the product can be used for, directions for use, product safety information and warnings. All of this is written in plain black writing, it is quite small but can be easily read and is clearly set out.

        The Cleaner
        The Kitchen Cleaner is basically a clear coloured liquid, just like water, however when sprayed out of the bottle it comes out as a white foam. When I first sprayed the cleaner onto my Kitchen sides the first smell that hit me was the fragrance of bleach, this was quite strong, yet not over powering, to be honest bleach is really the only fragrance I can detect so I'm not too sure whether there is supposed to be another fragrance present, this is not stated in the product information. When using the spray I did find that I didn't need as much as I thought, I made the mistake of spray too much on my kitchen work surfaces and then had to spend ages rinsing it off, just a couple of sprays is plenty to clean each section effectively but also does not mean you are there ages trying to rinse the cleaner off of the sides, I think the fact that the cleaner comes out as a spray helps with how well this lasts.

        Tesco Kitchen Cleaner with Bleach can be used on most surfaces in the kitchen including cooker tops, work surfaces, food preparation areas and sinks. Personally I also use mine to clean all of my kitchen cupboard doors and also things like my washing machine and I have had no problems with it. The cleaner is designed to clean effectively and kill bacteria which can cause common food poisoning. It is a powerful degreaser and removes grime from most kitchen surfaces. So far I have found this to be the case, a small amount of the cleaner quickly and effectively remove stains and spills from my works surfaces as well as tough dried on stains such as when a saucepan has boiled over, If my husband has made himself a fry up, using this cleaner on the cooker top quickly removes grease marks or splashes of fat without me having to stand there for ages wiping the surface trying to remove the grease. Once I have cleaned the kitchen using this cleaner the bleach smell leaves the whole kitchen smelling and looking incredibly clean and fresh, I can clean all of the surfaces with this and feel confident that my kitchen is germ and bacteria free.

        Directions for use
        Using the Kitchen Cleaner with Bleach is very easy and pretty much the same as using other kitchen cleaning products. All surfaces must be cool before spraying the product onto them, you then simply wipe the side with a cloth and rinse immediately. They do advise that you test the cleaner on a small non noticeable patch before using it all over your work surfaces, although I have to admit I didn't do this before using it, however I do follow the directions and rinse the cleaner from the surfaces once finished.

        Warnings
        Because this product contains bleach there are several surfaces that it should not come into contact with such as clothes, carpet, soft furnishings, wood, wall paper or polished furniture. Should any of the product be spilt it is important to wipe it up straight away and rinse with clean water, This product should not be used on any damaged surfaces either as this may cause further damage to them. Other warnings include keeping the product away from your eyes, not inhaling it and also using it in a well ventilated area, these are pretty standard for this type of product.

        Product Safety Instructions
        The product safety instructions which are also on the back of the product include things like
        * Avoid contact with eyes, and prolonged contact with skin as this is an irritant
        * If it comes into contact with your eyes you should rinse immediately and seek medical advise
        * If this product is swallowed you should seek medical advise immediately and show them the label of the bottle
        * This product should not be used with other products as dangerous chemicals may be released.

        Price
        Obviously this product came from Tesco as it is part of their own range, the 500ml bottle cost me around £1.00 which I thought was excellent value for money. The cleaner so far has lasted me a long while with using it most days so I would say it is excellent value for money and for such a reasonably priced cleaner I have been pleased with its performance.

        My Opinion
        I would definitely recommend Tesco Kitchen Cleaner with Bleach, it really does do what it says it will, it does an excellent job of keeping my kitchen both looking and smelling clean and fresh. I feel confident that after using this product my kitchen is germ free. The cleaner is excellent at removing tough stains with minimum effort you do not have to spend ages scrubbing at the sides to get them clean, and the fact that you only need a small amount at a time means it last extremely well and is good value for money. I will definitely buy this again and would recommend it to anyone.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        tesco kitcehn spray with bleach which costs only 90p!

        As a regular tesco shopper I have tried and liked a lot of there own products but when it came to cleaning products such as washing up tablets, softener and bleach I was always weary of trying cheaper brands but I bit the bullet one day and decided what's the harm in trying, if I don't like the product I simply don't buy it again. So instead of buying dearer brands of kitchen cleaner I bought the tesco kitchen spray with bleach which cost only 90p for a 500ml bottle.

        The bottle is tall and thin and is mostly white with orange on the top and spray parts as well as on the label. It must be stored in a cool place and not exposed to extreme temperatures so we keep in with the rest of our cleaning products below our sink which is where a lot of people seem to keep these types of things. As with a lot of products which contain bleach it is always recommended that you try the product on a small unnoticeable area first.

        To use you turn the spray nozzle to the on position and spray directly onto the surface which you are cleaning. It comes out in short sprays so I always spray quite a bit and leave it for a few minutes on tough stains. Then using either a clean cloth or paper towel wipe over the surface and most stains come out fairly easily but any tough stains do take a bit of elbow grease to get them out but I don't mind scrubbing as its a bit of a workout for your arms. After wiping away all the stains rinse immediately. Once you are finished with the product you should turn the nozzle back to the off position.

        I would definitely recommend this product for everyone to try as it gets rid of kitchen stains and germs and smells ok compared to other kitchen spray bleaches.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Ok for general marks but not going to clean everything

        Like a lot of people in the country at the moment we are looking at various ways of lowering our outgoings. We have started to look at the supermarket own brands as they tend to be a good bit kinder to the wallet and in some cases without having to reduce the quality of the product.

        However, in the case of Tesco's kitchen spray with bleach, I'm sorry to say that this product just does not cut it.

        Starting with the good points, the spray itself does give your kitchen a nice clean bleachy smell and in our kitchen the units and worktops do have a nice shine after we have wiped them down when using the spray. The bottle is a nice design which is typical of these types of spray cleaners and comes in a 500ml size. The price is very good at 90 pence per bottle (26/09/2010) but I'm afraid this is where the positiveness ends

        Now for the bad, we have found when trying to clean a more stubborn marks and stains on the worktops or on our gas hob that the spray even when left to soak in for a few minutes just doesn't seem to clean the surface, many times we have had to resort to good old soap and water, which defeats the purpose of buying this spray. The spray comes out as a white froth but when spraying directly on to a stain, I feel the froth just does not soak into the dirt, it seems to wipe over the top, which really is no good to anyone.

        Although the spray does come in a nice bottle, I have noticed the label and design of the bottle is almost identical to that of the premium brand "Flash", is this Tesco's attempt to fool us all into thinking their product will be just as good?

        Although the 500ml Flash bottle is currently priced £1.98 (Tesco 26/09/2010), in my opinion, it is worth spending that extra money to get a product that actually does as it is supposed to.

        Tesco's kitchen cleaner spray with bleach is very good at cleaning and wiping away general dirt and grime but will not stand the pace when it comes against more stubborn stains as I have found the premium brands can.

        You have many good products in your own brand Tesco, but back to the drawing board with this one I think!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        not bad

        As a Tesco shopper, I often dip into their own products. I have tried their bathroom spray before, which was alright, though not as powerful as Flash and left a sort of gritty feel to the bath. Their Kitchen Spray with bleach is another way to shave a few pence off the shopping budget by compromising a little on quality. It is a compromise. I have tried Flash and Domestos cleaners, both of which deliver better results. Flash in particular seems to cut through dirt with greater ease.

        The Tesco Bleach is not without grace though, at less than a pound for a bottle, the spray saves you about fifty pence, so it gets a thumbs up there. The pump action spray usually works okay until it gets towards the end and then you have to strain to get the last few drops out, furiously pumping air!

        The smell is obviously clinical but not so repellent that it makes you think of hospital wards. Smells seem to subside within a few minutes anyway. It works best on work surfaces with minimal grim. I find it effective as a generic wipe over spray. It is less effective on hobs or stubborn stains which have been soaking onto surfaces. The bleach will kill germs fast though, so it delivers good results for those who are health conscious.

        The spray actually makes for a good general cleaning aid. I often use it to do walls, skirting boards and banisters. It leaves a streak free clean and there isn't residue when it dries. If Flash was on offer, I would buy Flash as it cuts through dirt better, but as a cheap option I probably would get this again, plus it's usually well stocked in Tesco and a bottle lasts for ages.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Competitively priced, but not as powerful as Flash

        I usually use the Flash kitchen spray, but it was out of stock ,when doing my weekly shop, so I opted for this one instead.
        It was cheaper and looked very similar to the Flash, so I thought is should do roughly the same job. Unfortunately not. It smelled quite nice, a fresh bleachy type of smell, but just did not seem to have the power of the Flash one. I usually spray in my mugs and worktop to remove tea stains etc, but it did not seem to shift, without putting quite a lot of elbow grease. Also , it did not work as well as my orginal on the kitchen tiles. The orginal Flash spray, brought them up cleaming, with very little hard work ( my kind of cleaning).
        To sum it up, some products seem (or are) very similar to the brand ones, but this falls short. I will not purchase this again and will spend the extra on my trusty Flash spray. I think on this occasion, you gets what you pays for!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Great value, very useful kitchen product

        This is one of those cleaning products you'll quickly find you use every day. It's very reasonably priced, especially when compared to some other available brands (Mr Muscle, Flash, etc) but I would say at least as effective as those.

        It's great for cleaning cooker tops, work surfaces, sinks, kitchen cupboard doors etc. I've also found it's pretty effective for getting small marks (eg finger prints etc) off painted walls too and it doesn't damage the paint at all.

        It has a pleasant enough fragrance and isn't too overpowering.

        I would say the main advantage is that it's suitable for use on a range of surfaces so you don't have to keep numerous different products for different areas of the kitchen.

        Disadvantages are sometimes it can still take a bit of scrubbing to get stubborn stains, especially on cooker tops, to clear when using this spray.

        Overall excellent value for money and a very useful, versatile product.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        A good bargain priced spray with bleach

        This is very resonably priced at 0.80p for 500ml currently in Tesco compared to £1.49 for the equivalent Flash spray.

        I try and avoid using too many products containing bleach but it is a neccessary item to have under the sink which will almost always guarantee removing stubborn stains and all bacteria.

        I have recently switched to this cheaper alternative as part of cost cotting needs.

        Coming in a white plastic spray bottle with a picture of a gleaming kitchen on it you simply twist the nozzle round to the on position before spraying.

        The claims (according to the back of the bottle) and my experience

        Kills germs - as it contains bleach this will be a fact

        Removes Grime - This easily removed some rather stubborn grease from my white cooker top with very little elbow grease and no damage to the surface

        Cleans easily and disinfects - It is a fact that it disinfects - amongst bleach it also contains disinfectant, this does clean my work surfaces very easily though I do find the need to rinse my cloth for longer than a non bleach spray.

        This always manages to make my kitchen smell clean along with making my white appliances gleam with very little effort involved, however it is quite harsh to the skin and I always wear gloves when using this or any other product containing bleach. This cannot be used on chrome or enamel so be careful around certain sinks and patch test if not sure - this is what I
        did with my taps in an inconspicuous area.

        My main complaint to this is the nozzle is not as good as with more expensive sprays I have tried and it can come out quite thick and randomly, so make sure nothing near could get damaged. You also need to keep windows open in the room you are using. I found I developed a small headache the first time I used it - my windows were closed - but as long as I open my windows it's fine.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          A great, cheap option to clean your house up!

          Cleaning is one of my favourite pastimes. I kid you not I love a clean tidy, fresh smelling home. I also love buying cleaning products (I mean come on I do love to shop full stop lol) and regularly buy products to help make my cleaning as easy and breezy as possible.

          Now I live with my folks. My Mother is an early riser and likes to do things her way. By 8am my house is immaculate so all I have to do really is keep my bedroom clean and tidy really. However if she's not in I will of course clean up etc. Although this is a kitchen spray I bought it originally to use to remove some marks on a bedroom cupboard cos it was cheap lol So when she went out the other day I decided once I'd used a bit for it's original purpose that I had in mind that I'd give the kitchen a wipe over!

          The Packaging....

          Large white tall bottle with orange and clearish plastic spray action nozzle to the the top of it. The front label is orange and yellow and on that in white, yellow and orange writing I'm told it's Tesco, Kitchen Spray With Bleach and that it kills germs and removes grime and there is a drawing of a clean sink and hob in a kitchen. On the back of the bottle there is a white sticky label on there and on that all in black writing I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use, warnings are given, product information is listed, contact details for Tesco are given, the size is stated (500ml) and finally there is a bar-code on there. It's a simple bottle with enough information on it you may need to know and doesn't scream cheap or anything. It's a good quality bottle to handle and I like the safety piece of plastic on the nozzle that twists round easily (you can turn it on and off) which means no accidents!

          A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Bottle...

          Suitable for use on cooker tops, kitchen work surfaces.
          Cleans easily and disinfects.
          Kills bacteria that can be the cause of common food poisoning.

          Directions For Use....

          Surfaces must be cool before application. Try the product on an inconspicuous area first. Turn the spray nozzle to the 'on' position. Spray directly onto surface, wipe with a clean cloth or paper tow then rinse immediately. Return the spray nozzle to the 'off' position.

          Using It....

          The spray itself is clear (no colour at all). It sprays out wet and the consistency of it is like water. Smell wise it's very bleach like as expected but they've tried to disguise it with some other smell, just not well! lol However although strong once used the smell fades after about an hour and it does smell clean.

          So all you do is spray of course wherever you want to clean as it's suitable really for anywhere. I personally cleaned pretty much everywhere in our kitchen. I found it all to be relatively easy but to be fair I wasn't trying to remove ten ton of muck or anything.

          Work surfaces were simple to clean. I sprayed a little on and wiped ot off straight away. Grease and grime was removed on my cloth and any residue left from the spray was dried within seconds. Hob had a bit of glued on food most of that wiped off easily but I did have some remaining bits stuck on so I simply sprayed a little of this on, left in on a minute or two and went back and wiped it and yep it came clean away very easily. It brought my stainless steel sink up bright and shiny and even worked over some tiles situated at the back of the sink and they came up shiny and lot cleaner. I even wiped our tiled floor and in the cupboards and again everything came up shiny and clean, with no residue left behind, no tacky feeling and it's none sticky (which is a good job as I used it on our floor lol).

          It is very simple to use and does a great job. You can't use this on glass or mirrors as they go streaky and grimy looking but everywhere else I used it was absolutely fine. It never irritated my skin (I did wash my hands after using it) and all in all it's a good economy buy that leaves everywhere looking, feeling and smelling clean.

          Only available in Tesco priced 57p.
