“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Kitchen Towel Roll „
I use a lot of kitchen roll and really would be lost without it. I am not brand loyal and always check out special offers when it comes to buying cleaning necessities . I recently bought a 4 pack of Tesco won label kitchen rolls as they were the cheapest option in stock! I paid £2.50 for a pack of 4 rolls.
The towels come packaged in a clear plastic wrapper and really look nothing special alongside several more expensive brands that picture Disney characters or coloured patterns. However the plain white towels suit me well as I am not looking for a piece of art ! Each roll contains 60 sheets of paper and although plain they do have a sort of dotted indented pattern. More importantly each towel is quite thick and of a decent size. Another important factor for me is how easy it is to tear off a sheet . In this case the perforations work well ensuring I only get one sheet!
I use kitchen towel for a variety of purposes such as wiping my granite work tops dry after cleaning. With children plus dog kitchen towel is invaluable to soak up any spills from the carpets before cleaning. These towels do an excellent job at soaking up spilled liquids! I also use them to polish windows after cleaning as they give a good shine. The same applies to bathroom tiles and sticky finger marks. I grow a lot of herbs and like to store them to ensure I have a fresh supply. Simply wet a sheet of kitchen roll and wrap the herbs before placing into a plastic bag and storing in the fridge. This keeps the herbs fresh for several weeks and ensures they are ready to use!
Overall I would definitely recommend this brand of kitchen roll. The sheets are thick and absorbent ,of a decent size and they are easy to separate
Kitchen towel is something that every household needs. If you dont have it in your house how on earth do you get by?! We end up with lots of different varieties in our house depending on where I shop, when I remember to buy any and how much money we have! Brands I have been pleased with range from Tesco Value to Plenty and I'm not particularly brand faithful.
A few weeks ago we ran out of kitchen towel. I asked my partner to collect some on his way home as he often takes himself into our local Tesco Express to buy himself sweets! He came back with a two pack of Tescos own kitchen towel which I was happy enough with. He didnt tell me what he paid but when I was in the shop the other day I think I remember seeing it selling at just over the £1.50 mark.
The packaging is exactly the same as is shown above. It is nice and bright and gives me a bit more information about the product including how Tesco are ensuring that the trees they used are replaced etc.
The rolls of kitchen towel are plain white in colour which is fine by me. Each sheet is a good size and they are quite thick which made me believe that it was likely they would be of a good standard.
I use kitchen towel for lots and lots of different things! I use it for cleaning both the kitchen and the bathroom, wiping up spills, cleaning marks off of the carpet and emptying out the cat food bowls before washing them out.
As I use the towels for such a vast array of things we tend to go through them quite quickly in our house. Last week I decided it was time for a reshuffle of the kitchen cupboards so whilst I had everything out I gave the cupboards a quick clean on the inside too. The towels worked really well, I often applied pressure in order to remove any scuffs or marks and not once did a towel break despite being soaked in Flash Kitchen Cleaner.
I also use these to clean the bathroom where again they are strong and hold together well. I find them easy to clean with and although they have a soft texture they do have a textured surface which helps to remove any stubborn marks.
I find the towels very absorbant and I can easily mop up any spills with just one towel which makes it quick and simple.
Average use of this towel in my house means a roll can last somewhere between 3 and 4 days or if I am having a cleaning mission this can be less! Last week admitedly it did only last a few hours. However, since then we bought another pack which are being used no problem and I would definitely buy these again without a doubt. They are a good price for exceptional quality and are now one of my favourites on the market.
Some kitchen rolls seem to make lots of claims about how absorbent they are and I immediately think of silly TV adverts where people are wringing the paper out and showing just how much spillage one sheet will mop up. I have, however, rarely found any kitchen roll to be that good so I often 'drop a brand' now and opt for Tesco's own make because whilst it doesn't make any special claims, it's good enough quality for various purposes in the kitchen.
These are neither a fancy name with pretty packaging, or a Tesco Value cheapest brand, but rather just a standard Tesco product. The packaging is primarily see through plastic with blue/white detailing on the front. It's nothing special, but then again I'd much rather like to think I'm paying for the product I'm actually using than for the name or pretty colours. This claims that it 'soaks up spills fast', as do most kitchen rolls, but it doesn't make large claims of being extra strong or absorbent. It's a cheaper brand so a good alternative to check out if you want to save on pennies.
These can be bought as a pack of 2, 4 or 8 rolls, though I often go for the pack of 4. If you get these, at normal retail value, it works out at £1.20 per 100 sheets as each roll has 50 sheets. The rolls are white in colour and don't have a fancy design, but they do have some indented dot mark pattern all over to give it texture. They look quite basic but that doesn't bother me.
I have found that these are relatively easy to tear off without ripping the sheet and that's important because it's not as good value for money if you've got poor quality paper that rips all over the place. The size is average and reasonable for various purposes, from mopping up spills to ridding your chips of excess grease. For some reason we seem to eat kitchen rolls in our house and they get used for various things, and I've found that these have come in very useful and multi-purpose in this sense. They don't absorb a river of spilt tea, but then I've never found a kitchen roll that really does, but they do soak up reasonably well without falling apart. Don't expect miracles, but for the price, they do the job nicely enough.
When compared to similar products, these can be quite a bit cheaper, even half the price of bigger brand names. And yet I've found them to be of reasonable quality, it's easy to dispense sheets from the roll and they're useful for various things in the home without fluffing up or falling apart the second they're put to work.
Overall I would definitely recommend these if you want to save a few pennies; you may miss out on pretty patterns but for the price they're still reasonable quality kitchen tissues that come in very useful.
4 rolls £2.40, 2 rolls £1.44, 8 rolls £4.80 (Tesco)
