Tesco Value Cistern Blocks are so economical because for two plastic blue blocks you will pay only 30p and they do the job as well, if not better than the much more expensive branded cistern blocks on the market in my opinion.

It is so simple and easy to just plop a block into the cistern and leave it. It cleans and freshens the loo for about three to four weeks and delivers a very strong and powerful pine frangrance which will make the toilet bowl turn a deep deep blue colour. It freshens and disinfects the toilet bowl and leaves it looking sparkling and fresh. What more could you ask for for just 30p?

With every flush the loo will foam and it also prevents the build up of nasty limescale which we have a lot of bother with in our area as we have very hard water.

Wash your hands after you have touched it though and put it down the loo as I found it made my fingers sting, but I may just have overly sensitive skin - it will also turn your fingers blue very quickly after you've touched them.

Probably the only downside of these cistern blocks is that they are a bugger to remove from their flat cardboard and plastic container. You have to take a pair of sharp scissors to them as they are murder to remove, but once one is out then the other one will follow easier.

Fantastic little product and at 30p its very well worth the money. Only available in pine fragrance as far as I am aware, so not much choice of scent, at least not in our Tesco.
