We have recently been trying to economise by buying a brand down from the best sellers, especially with items like cleaning products. I have to say I am particularly impressed with the Tesco's own label range of washing up liquids which also smell pretty amazing!

You can buy this for around 85p for a standard 500ml bottle and it comes in a number of fragrances including the apple which is pictured at the top of this review and also lemon, original and pink grapefruit. They also frequently appear on offer where you can usually get them for around the two for £1 mark which makes them a bit of a bargain.

The bottle is a standard transparent design which squeezes easily and has a flip top cap to assist with pouring the right amount out. Just like with the big name brands you really do not need to use much of this product at all to create a whole sink full of fluffy bubbles and foamy water. It cuts through grease just as effectively as the leading brand and I have never noticed any ways in which it does not perform to the same level.

I find that a bottle of this size lasts me at least two months doing on average one load of washing up a day (for two people), it seems like great value to me when you consider the difference in price and especially so when you can pick them up on offer. The apple one is my favourite as it smells very distinct and fruity but the lemon one is also nice (I am not so keen on the grapefruit variety). If you are trying to economise then I would heartily suggest that this is one product where it is well worth making the transition.

The bottle is also recyclable which is great, nothing to complain about with this rival to the market leaders!
