I always have a roll of kitchen roll in my house but I tend to switch brands depending on which has the better offer. However, I have been sticking to Thirst Pockets a lot more as to me they are on of the better brands around at the minute. I was recommended them by a family member and ever since using them I have been quite loyal as they seem to be of really good quality and they look fine in my kitchen and last me a good amount of time.

APPEARANCE

Each kitchen roll has a cardboard cylinder holding all of the sheets on it and then it has a quilted effect all over which is probably why it absorbs so well. It has a coloured line and spiral design all over it which is simple but a bit more exciting to look at. Each sheet is a square shape which is white in colour and has perforated lines to separate them. I bought these rolls in a packet of two which came wrapped in cellophane with the Thirst Pockets logo on it and a description on the packet too.

THIRST POCKETS

I don't just use these for wiping up spills and whatever else but I also use these for cooking or for dining. The sheets have two thin layers stuck together to add some thickness to each sheet and when using them to take the grease off things like sausages and newly baked cakes to sit on, they do a good job and take of all of the grease without becoming soaked in fat. They also look fine on a dinner table for eating with and wipe off any dirt, again a really worthwhile use for them.

These are mainly used though by most people for wiping up spills as that is the real test to these and what gives them the name. The towels are made with pocket technology to really soak up any liquid and I do find with these that I can go back and forward over a spill and these do not tear easily at all but they continue to keep wiping and absorbing whatever liquid is left on the table or wherever until most of it is soaked up.

The towel is never dripping wet either, so in that sense I do find these really effective. They are not soft paper but they are quilted and have the slightest bounce to them when you press the sheets. The towels also rip easily through the perforated line and they do no rip unevenly at all which shows a good quality brand. I find that a roll of these will last my household quite a good amount of time, possibly just under a month if I am cooking a lot that week but that is a good buy.

I think for any household, this is one of the better kitchen roll brands out there at the moment as it is a well known brand with a good reputation and it does the job that it says it does. They are high quality and really maintain their strength with water on them. They absorb with ease and I will continue to keep buying the brand as they meet my expectations well and would be perfect for any busy mother of father who needs help in stressful moments.

COST

To buy a packet of these in a roll of 4 it is £2.50 or for a big 8 pack at Tesco it is £4 on special offer which is a better deal, really.
