Toilet Duck Cleaner
Advantages: Great freshness and cleaning power, unique neck shape makes it easier to get under the rim
Disadvantages: Does not leave things clean for as long as some other cleaners
I hate cleaning but what I hate even more is dirt so I am always on the lookout for products that are out there which can make life easier for me and thanks to the adverts for the product I decided to give Toilet Duck a shot and see if it could help keep my toilet fresh and clean for longer but how did it do?
Toilet Duck comes in a very well designed and shaped bottle which has a curved neck design (this is where the duck part of the name comes from) to enable you to get this in to the hard to reach underside of the toilet rim. For me this is one of the better bottle out there as even though it is a small difference from the normal shape of bottle I do find it very easy to use and know that I have managed to get the cleaner in the most difficult to reach places.
This is a cleaner which offers up very good cleaning power and fights both limescale and germs (99.9% germ kill rate is what is quoted by Toilet Duck) well. This is continually being developed and improved with the newest versions offering cleaning below the waterline which is something that Toilet Duck never used to be able to do. For me it is a vrey good cleaning product but is not quite up there with Harpic Power Plus for how clean it manages to my toilet or how long it leaves it clean.
Leaves your toilet very fresh with a strong yet not overpowering fragrance. The fragrances on offer are pine, marine and citrus which doesn't seem like much but once you have found your favourite (for me this is citrus) then you will find you automatically pick that one up each time.
The cleaner is thicker than many other toilet cleaners out there and so will stay on the sides of your toilet for longer which ensures that it cleans as well as it can (other cleaners simply run straight in to the water which means they are not dragging the dirt and germs away). I was impressed with how long it was before this had all run in to the water as this is one of the biggest annoyances I have with other toilet cleaners out there and the reason I feel many of them just don't work well.
This is a great value for money product with a bottle normally costing between £1 and £1.50 and for that you are getting a product that will last for a few cleans of the toilet thanks to being thicker than other liquids and so not needing so much on to cover the area to a thickness you know will actually clean it.
This is one of the better cleaners out there but it does limescale does begin to return quicker than I have found with Harpic Power Plus and so I would always feel more confidence in my toilet remaining clean for longer with the Harpic.
Overall a very good cleaning product which will leave your toilet both clean and fresh. The unique neck shape allows for you to clean easily under the rim and ensures that you get full coverage which is something I find to be a small yet massively important part of Toilet Duck being so good. The product offers you a very good value and is one of the products I would always consider using, even if it is not my first choice.
Summary: A very good cleaning product that you can feel confident is leaving your toilet safe from germs
