I bought Wilkinson's brand of lemon anti-bacterial wipes last week from the Wilkinson store in East Ham. Wilkinson's brand of lemon anti-bacterial wipes is good value for money as it only cost 98 pence. There are 40 wipes in one packet.
Evaluation of the wipes
You don't need to use too many wipes but it depends on what you are cleaning. I only required one wipe to clean the large dining table. It removed the grease and dirt effectively. One wipe seems to contain ample but not too much moisture and it seems to go a long way. The effects are long lasting and the wipes keep things looking cleaner for longer than average. However the wipes do tend to leave a slight residue behind making surfaces seem a slightly bit sticky! Other than that, I would say that the wipes are of excellent quality. The writing on the packet states that the wipes are effective against Flu (virus) H1N1 and other harmful bacteria. I think that this is a plus point as the wipes only costs 98 pence and to get wipes that can be effective against flu (virus) H1N1/germs is a bonus. The lemon fragrance of the wipes is pleasant and the smell of lemon is not too overpowering. The smell of lemon on the wipe is also long lasting on the surfaces that it is used on. I also found that the wipes are not irritable to my skin.
I would definitely recommend that you buy these wipes as they are good value for money and are of excellent quality. The wipes are only available in Wilkinson Stores.

Living near a Wilkinsons store rather often I buy my cleaning products from there as I find them good value for my money. Usually I use sprays around my home and the likes to clean however I bought these to pop by my toilet to mainly use in the bathroom on the toilet, sink and even the laminate floor in there as on the packet we are told that they help kill E.Coli, Listeria and Salmonella.
The Packaging of these is really rather simple. 40 wipes come in a bright yellow pack with a resealable large label on the front of them where were are shown a picture of lemons and told that they are Wilko Anti-Bacterial Lemon Wipes and that there are of course 40 of them within the packet. On the back of the packet we are told a bit more about the wipes and how to use them, the ingredients are given and contact details for Wilkinsons are given. Nice enough packaging this is, the label is sticky enough to last and reuse and of course the information given on the packet is more than enough.
No size is given on the packet to how large these are but they are white and large enough and not too thin and smooth. They are moist and not drippy and pleasantly and rather naturally scented of lemon which is citrusy. I started off using them in my bathroom to which I was more than happy with but then now I actualy buy them weekly and use them all over the place in my place a I'm so pleased with them.
They gently lift up grease, grime and dirt and when they get dirty you throw them away as they are disposables (though don't flush them just bin them!). I use them on my work surfaces, I even use them to wipe inside make up bags, I often wipe my lamanate floors with them as they leave no residue or stickiness behind them and they always do a great job easily and leave where I've cleaned nicely scented too.
I can't vouch for the fact that they do kill germs of course but I feel that they probably do and my home is left clean and fresh which is the main thing and these make my cleaning a doddle which is always appreciated. I was worried one wipe wouldn't do alot of cleaning but thats not true and so for me and small tasks these work out a real good buy!
Only available in Wilkinson stores priced at a pound a pack of 40!

Scepticism is easy regarding these wipes because of the cheap price of these cleaning devices. In comparison to other wipes from various supermarkets one would think these surely couldn't be as effective but once opened and used for the first time the views will be changed. They have a great fresh smell which seems to linger over the cleaned items for a short while, thus lessening the effect for an air freshener, therefore saving money on that account too, so they are certainly economical.
These lovely lemon scented wipes are great to use for cleaning all over the house, including the bathroom. They remove light stains without having to scrub really hard and so this makes cleaning a little easier overall. The pack lasts a fair while and they are definitely recommendable.
So to conclude - try not to judge a wipe by its price because these anti-bacterial cleaning devices are undeniably effective.
I don't do that much shopping in Wilkinson's as I don't live near enough but when I do go I like to stock up on the fantastic wipes for use all around the home. I use these for cleaning all sorts of things, from the bathroom to the kitchen to the door handles etc.
They come is a plastic resealable pack containing forty wipes and they cost under a pound, so I personally consider these to be a real bargain.
They smell really nice of lemons in my opinion and the smell is not too overpowering like some anti bacterial wipes can be. There is no smell of bleach just a lovely fresh lemon scent.
They leave no nasty smears or marks I find and I use them on my kitchen worksurfaces and on my ceramic tiles in the bathroom and the kitchen and also on my stainless steel sink and the toilet seat when I like to give it a quick wipe over.
Because they are resealable they are really handy to have around the house but you will need to make really sure that the plastic is pressed back down firmly because if they are not sealed correctly then they will dry out very quickly as I have personally discovered myself.
They are a little bit drying to hands and the lemon sticks around on your fingers for a while after you have used them but they do smell nice.

I am a bit of a clean freak and like to know my work surfaces are clean and with every shop I buy wipes. Now I know it's not very environmentally friendly as you use them once and throw them away where as you could use a dishcloth and keep re using it but I don't like the thought of touching the muck to rinse the cloth off.
I like these wipes as they have a light, fresh lemon small and are antibacterial.
The wipes are in a lightweight, simple plastic packet. It's bright yellow with a big label on the front with stating the product and a picture of a lemon. This label peels away so you can get to the wipes. The wipes pull out easily and unlike some wipes you do only get one at a time. The sticky label reseals nicely keeping the rest of the wipes moist and fresh.
On the rear of the pack is another label containing a brief description on the usage of the wipes, ingredients and barcode.
These wipes are often on offer at 2 packs for £1.50 or when there not on offer they are 99p for 1 pack. 1 pack contains 40 wipes, 1 wipes will easily wipe down my kitchen work surface with out drying up (approx 2.5 meter long).
I have used these wipes on the floor, kitchen work surface, bathroom and kids toys. They have done a great job on these items and leave a clean smell about the place.
These wipes are great and would recommend them to everyone but I'm not proud about the waste they cause when in theory you could do just as good a job with a cloth and antibacterial spray. They are convenient though.
I have wooden floor so usually need to wipe it down every day as my dogs mault alot and also the youngest dog is still widdling on the floor (she's 1 and a half!), so it's very important for me to keep ontop of the house or else it could get very unhygienic and smelly.
I used to just use a mop and water for the floor and anti bacterial cleaning spray on the spot where the widdle had been, but as a gift last year my mum jokingly bought me a mop which you can attatch wipes to, which is alot more quicker than the mop and bucket. I got a bundle of different wipes from Wilkinsons (because that's the cheapest place to go for cleaning products! I'd reccomend it), and the anti bacterial lemon wipes were and still are my favourite.
The packaging is simple. It's bright yellow and around the size of an a5 notepad, maybe a bit bigger. The material of the packaging is plastic-like, which is nice and smooth and lightweight.
On the front is a stick-on bit of plastic which has the name of the product, the amount of wipes it holds and a picture of a lemon. This piece of thin plasticy paper peels alway and exposes the wipes, which are easy to pull out individually. The piece of plasticy paper can then be stuck back down as it has self-stickiness.
The back of the package contains brief useage instructions, warnings and that's about it. The useage instructions are helpful however anyone with common sense will know how to use a wipe so it's unneccesary for a majority of people.
For a pack of 40 wipes it's 99p which in my opinion is well worth it and i'm happy with paying this price because the wipes are thick, hold plenty of moisture and are very strong; i've never had one tear or fall apart in my time of using them - almost a year.
They're generous in size and are easy to either use with my mop or use with my bare hands. I've not experienced any itching or anything like that and the moisture that comes out of them when squeezed has the consistency of water which isn't too thick or bubbly, nor does it stink the house out - it has a lovely subtle lemon smell, which has a hint of cleanliness to it. It works really well and if used on my laminant floor it does give my living room a pleasent, discreet lemony smell. The wipes can almost be used on toilet seats, baths, window ledges, just about anything and they do a great job in cleaning the areas well and thoroughly. Because the wipes are white, it's easy to see the amount of dirt they pick up which is sometimes shocking!
When it comes to dog wee, i always wipe the area down with water and then dry the water up with kitchen roll then thoroughly clean the area with a few wipes. It usually takes just 2 until the area is completely smell free and clean.
These wipes save loads of time and overall they're a good product - great quality, last well and although they're cheap in price they're not a cheap or tacky product!
When it comes to cleaning my apartment then in my view anything that makes it a quicker and easier process is fantastic. I have been using these Wilko's anti-bacterial lemon fragranced wipes for quite a while now and have always had great cleaning results from them.
As they are a Wilkinson's own brand you can therefore only buy them in Wilkinson's. They are priced at 97p for a pack of 40 wipes and are often on offer. My last purchase was for two packs for £1.50 which I think is great value compared to the branded wipes and a packet does last quite a while.
The wipes come in a bright yellow plastic packet, there is a peel able opening which allows you to dispense the wipes and then stick back closed to keep them moist and fresh.
On the back of the packet you can find directions for use for the wipes but to me this is quite self-explanatory. It does also state under the warnings section to test wipes on small sections of new surfaces in case of a reaction. I have been using these wipes all around my home now for quite some time and have yet to have any adverse reactions to anything I have used them on.
The wipes themselves are a nice size and pretty strong, I have never had a wipe tear even when I have been quite rough with them. They also have quite a strong fresh lemon fragrance which makes surfaces smell lovely and clean after use.
I use the wipes for kitchen and bathrooms surfaces, for wiping up spillages, on door handles or any surface that needs a quick clean. The wipes claim to be effective against E.coli, Listeria and Salmonella, in my opinion I find it much more hygienic to use the wipes than to have cloths sat around breeding bacteria that they have picked up off surfaces.
I will certainly continue to use these wipes as they clean quickly and effectively have a great fresh fragrance and are excellent value. Therefore I would definitely recommend them to anyone to have in their cleaning cupboard for a handy anti-bacterial cleaning solution.
I usually use a Dettol spray as an anti-bacterial agent around my home - for the kitchen worktops especially but I wanted something a little more practical for my baby's nursery. I needed something that was quick to use, cleans well, remove germs and dries quickly, especially with a view to cleaning the changing mat. I decided to look at the cleaning wipes in the cleaning section at my local Wilkinson, which is when I came across these wipes. At 99p for 40 wipes, they were a lot cheaper in price than any of the branded equivalents.
The wipes come in a bright yellow plastic packet which has a clear seal on the front of the packet. This is ripped open to reveal a hole through which the wipes can be removed. It can then be re-sealed to ensure that the remaining wipes do not dry out. With other similar products (eg face wipes) I have sometimes experienced problems with this seal as it can lose it's sticky quite quickly and not stick down properly - causing the remaining wipes to dry out. However, this is not a problem with these wipes as the seal keeps it's sticky well and the wipes remain moist.
On opening the packet, there is a strong lemon scent which is really clean and refreshing. The wipes are white in colour, feel very moist to the touch and are quite thick. They stand up well to a bit of cleaning and scrubbing - they do not rip easily of come apart under the pressure. The packet confirms that the wipes are effective against e.coli, listeria and salmonella as well as the flu virus. Therefore, as well as cleaning the surface of my baby's changing mat, they give me the reassurance that harmful bacteria have also been removed.
The wipes are good at giving the surface a clean, however, for dirtier areas or soiled on dirt, they will not be effective and you will need to first remove this dirt before wiping with the cloths. This is not a problem for me as I bought them primarily as they are anti-bacterial rather than to have a cleaning function. For my needs, they are very suitable.
I have also found that the wipes are not drying on my hands. I have quite sensitive skin and some similar products that I have used in the past have led to my skin being mildly irritated after use, or drying out slightly. Happily, these wipes seem gentle enough that I can use them without any concern.
Overall, these wipes are great value. They do the job perfectly and leave the surface smelling fresh and clean, and most importantly give me the confidence that the surface is bacteria free.
With three young children to look after, including an eight month old baby, it's important for me to keep the house clean in as little time as possible! My ultimate weapon in the constant battle against dirt and germs are disposable anti-bacterial wipes. There are several different brands on the market, including several premium brands from familiar household names, but I find these own brand version from Wilkinson hold their own against the brand names and are a far more economical option.
These cleaning wipes are available in any Wilkinson store and come in either a lavender or lemon fragrance, with the different fragrances being easy to distinguish thanks to the colouring of the packets (purple for the lavender, yellow for lemon.) I tend to buy the lemon variety which gives off quite a subtle but fresh and suitably 'clean' smelling aroma after use. Unlike some other brands (most noticeably Flash) the scent doesn't smell overly strong and doesn't linger for too long, either on surfaces or on my hands after use. I'm not a huge fan of lavender but even the lavender scented wipes are fairly pleasant and inoffensive too and I am willing to buy them if need be.
Like most cleaning wipes, these come packaged in a flexible plastic dispenser with a resealable flap, allowing for easy access to one wipe at a time. I find it easy to pull out a single wipe, without dragging out half the contents of the packet, even single handed. Each wipe is single use only and then needs to be disposed of in the bin, to avoid cross contamination and to maximise the anti-bacterial qualities of the wipes. The wipes offer the reassurance of being effective against a range of potentially dangerous bacteria such as E.Coli, Listeria and Salmonella.
I use these literally all over the house as I can just have a wipe in one hand and a baby in the other and just wipe down as I go! These are ideal for areas that I want the extra reassurance and where I know that lots of bacteria will be lurking, such as my baby's changing mat and that hotbed of germs otherwise known as his highchair. The wipes are strong and durable and are a decent size so a single wipe covers a decent area. They have a good level of moisture but not too much that they leave surfaces wet after use. They aren't particularly abrasive though so these aren't really effective on any dried on dirt or mess. So long as I wipe down the highchair immediately after feeding, these are quick and easy. If I haven't had the chance to clean around straightaway and any weetabix has set solid on the chair, these are totally ineffectual though and I find I need a scourer or old-fashioned cloth and some anti-bacterial spray to loosen and remove the dirt properly. Otherwise, these are ideal for quick wipes around worktops, sinks, bathrooms and even floors to clean up odd spills and food debris!
I do have a tendency towards dry and sensitive skin and am prone to the skin between my fingers becoming sore and cracked from time to time. I am my own worse enemy though and never use gloves when cleaning with these kind of disposable cloths. Fortunately, I've never experienced any irritation when using these wipes, even when my skin is already sore and broken. It's nice to find a product that is tough on dirt and germs but still gentle on my skin.
I find that the wipes are frequently on some sort of promotion and I tend to bulk buy, although they don't seem to last long in my household, considering how many I can get through in a single day! Generally, each pack of 40 costs just under £1 and there is often a multibuy discount offered where two packs cost around £1.50.
Providing you have a Wilkinson store locally, I can't think of any reason not to at least give these wipes a try. Not only are they considerably cheaper than premium brands but they actually smell much more pleasant and perform equally well when it comes to the job, quite literally, at hand!
Wilko anti bacterial wipes are the convenient way to ensure bacteria free surfaces. The packet states that they are effective against e.coli, listeria and salmonella.
I use them for absolutely everywhere, kitchen, bathroom, tabletops, floors everything!! They do make me a bit lazy if Im honest as its so quick just to get a wipe out rather than sponge and water! Just wipe and throw away! - You can't flush them down the toilet- I ignored this warning and it did block my toilet, so do learn from my mistakes! :)
They are easily stored too, ideal for limited storage space- I find I have a cuboard full of specialist products that take up so much room and I never use them as these wipes do just as good a job!!
The packet is fully recyclable with a self sticky, peel back opening for the wipes- It does lose its stick after a while but usually towards the end of the pack anyway. I have in the past just put the pack in a food bag and this has stopped them drying out.
They clean really well, with enough moisture to get off most stains without leaving residue or streaky marks. However they would not really be suitable for real stubborn, dried/baked on stains.
You really cant go wrong with these as they come with the wilko cash back promise- if you are not happy with your purchase you simply return it and get your money back!- great!
A packet of 40 wipes costs 98p which I think is fantastic value- about half the price as leading brands.
Also available in lavender fragrance.
Summary: Top marks-definitely recommend!
