I thought I knew best when getting a new carpet. I didn't have children and I loved the cream look so I bought one for my new house ignoring everyone's warnings about it getting terribly dirty etc.. Now 4 years on I have 2 small children and hate to blimmin' thing. It isn't really an option to buy a new one either as I have an open plan house so it would cost way too much to re- carpet the hole of the ground floor. My carpet isn't too bad as I'm forever scrubbing away at marks the kids leave. I know I wouldn't have to do this if I had a darker carpet grrrrrrrr. 1001 Spot Shot for carpets is a fairly new addition to the 1001 carpet cleaner range. I bought some because I had black marks on a light coloured carpet. The truth is that I threw a rubber mallet on the floor in frustration and it skidded and bounced along, leaving black skid marks. Nothing would remove it. This product comes in an aerosol can (CFC free for those who are interested). It is yellow and blue with a green spot on the front. The packaging does look kind of familiar as it is the same yellow as all the other 1001 products. There is a little plastic spout on the can to help direct the cleaner where you want it. When I get tired, I get clumsy, very clumsy. I drop things, knock things and walk into things as I misjudge how close they are. Sorting out some things that required floor space, I used our study/office for ease of use. Having made my cup of tea I had placed it on the desk but being lazy picked it up and placed it on the floor next to me. 2 minutes later and not realising it was as close as it was, the tea was all over the floor! Now we don't cups….we have MUGS…BIG MUGS. Needless to say there was lots of running to and fro with paper towel and damp cloths, trying to clean up as much as possible…you get the picture.
