3M Post-it Note Pads
by nimnim 3M Post-it Note Pads - Prices vary depending on size shape and colour Being a student I tend to be a massive fan of stationary. I have been known to spend hours in the local shopping centre looking around Paper Chase and WH Smiths. Post it notes are no exception. No house should be without them. They are made by 3M ... and the originals are the best. A post it pad is a small pad of papers stuck together by a mildly adhesive strip. This adhesive strip will then still to most of not all smooth surfaces, and leave no mark when it has been removed. I have found that under normal circumstances each post it (paper based) can be stuck up to three times as long as the gummed strip has not gotten fluffy. As a student I have to admit to loving the 3 inch by 3 inch post its for assignments. They are the right size to stick on things with the relevant reference on them or whatever notes you may need at a quick glance. I have them in many different colours so that I can have colours that correspond with different things or assignments / modules. The most 'common' colour of post its is the pale yellow but I have to say my favourites are the neon range. They do tend to get used for all sorts - the area around my desk is littered with them, and the wall to my right looks like a scene from Bruce Almighty when he tried the concept of prayer post its... I am partly ashamed to admit that there is one bright green post it that has been there for almost a full year now - which just goes to show how well they stick. For me they are just so useful as I can at a glance see which books I may need for any given assignment or topic. They can be a little costly but if you shop around you can find some bargains. I would highly recommend them to anyone as they are so invaluable, and such time savers. Definitely a five star product. Read the complete review |

3M Post-it Note Pads
by bringingsexyback WHAT IS IT? A block of coloured paper sheets for making notes on. Each sheet has an adhesive strip on the back and when you have written your note you pull the sheet off and stick it to an area where you will notice it and remind yourself. WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR? You can use them any time you need to ... make notes for yourself. They are very popular with students because the size of them is right for jotting down facts they need to remember for exams or presentations. I use a lot every day in my appointments book because I write a list of specific products favoured by my clients to save me having to transport their personal notes with me to every consultation. I don't use them for shopping lists because the adhesive strip gets very dirty and covered in fluff when it is not stuck to something straight after it's been pulled from the pad. I have just written a list of Dooyoo reviews I want to write over the next few days and have stuck it to the desk near my laptop. WHAT I THINK I have been a heavy user of Post It Notes for a long time and use a pad up every week. They can be expensive but I purchase mine in bulk and that is cheaper, it is better to buy the original Post It Notes because the adhesive is much more reliable than on cheaper versions and I am less likely to lose pieces of paper with my notes on. I usually buy the original yellow pads because the colour stands out against any surface. You can buy them in different colours and shapes but these are often smaller and more expensive, the bulk size I buy is only available in the standard yellow and because I use so many it would be very expensive if I was fussy about the colour. The neon pads were very useful when I had a very busy time at work last year because I could allocate a certain colour to each of my ladies and see quickly what I needed to pack that day and in what order. The Post It Notes stick to a lot of surfaces like paper, wood and even the tiles in my kitchen. They don't stick very well on the door of my fridge but that must be because of the coloured covering. 5 Dooyoo Stars. Read the complete review |

3M Post-it Note Pads
by katyj10 This is a review of 3M Post-it Note Pads which I am a big fan of. My first memory of 'sticky note pads' was as a child when we went to visit a family member who worked on a Doctor's reception and she gave me a wonderful haul of sticky notes advertising remedies for all sorts of ailments including piles! As a child stationery fan I ... thought they were magic and would go around sticking them everywhere with silly notes and reminders for family. The novelty never wore off... What are they? Post-it Note pads is the brand name of the original form of post it note although other brands get called this (a bit like 'sellotape' and 'hoover') but the 3M Post-it is the official brand name for those original notes which first came only in a pale yellow square. You peel off the top note and the top couple of centimetres on the back are sticky but a removable kind of sticky so they don't mark and you can relocate the note to another surface. Moving on Nowadays the notes are available in a huge number of colours, shapes and sizes, in fact I am currently working my way through a three-pack of heart shaped pink notes with a feint pattern on them. Interestingly, you can buy dispensers for these to hold them on to a desk and these have a zig zag pattern to them when you pull them out of the pack so it releases one sheet at a time which is an interesting variation. My thoughts I am a fan of the slightly outsized notes as I have big handwriting and often lots to say when I can't give a message direct to someone! I have tried other brands which have been varying in their results from too sticky and ripping to not sticky enough! The 3M Post-it Note Pads are consistently good in my opinion and I have never had a problem with them, even using ancient ones they don't dry up or underperform. I keep a packet on the study desk at home, in my car, handbag and kitchen drawers and by the phones so you can see we are big users in our home. Some uses - Notes on doors and fridges (regular sized) - At work (telephone messages, reminders, to-do lists etc). - Shopping lists - My dad uses tab sized post-its to mark his Racing Post newspaper (the different courses). - In my University days I used tab sized Post-its to make small notes in the margins of books without marking the book. Prices The prices vary for 3M Post-it Note Pads depending on what size or how fancy you want them. The basic pale yellow original packs are usually around £1 but you can pick up a bargain sometimes when they are reduced. I usually buy mine from the supermarket but I have picked up a good stash from Staples in their January sales and this is usually when I get the patterned, coloured and seasonal versions. Final word I think these began life most used in the office and graduated to the home where they have now become part of every day life. I can't imagine life without the Post-it and don't know anyone who hasn't heard of them by now! Read the complete review |
