The abrasive wadding works by smoothing scratches and minor indents in a piece of silver, reducing the effect of them, and making the product look more pleasing on the eye. ... I had a trip down memory lane with you when I recalled cleaning brass with Brasso. Now I shall clean the silver with Silvo liquid metal polish. This product is made by Reckitt Benckiser and has like Brasso been around many years, even before the days when I used to clean my neighbors silver for my guides shilling for the willing task (bob a job) I think that due to health and safety that guides and scouts no longer do this to raise money.
