... bought a tin (ice cream tub) of Dulux once in a soft brown coffee colour and I was painting a small room with white walls. The wall space I was painting was only about 20m2 and the tub said that it would cover up to 30m2 so I thought that I would only need one tub. Crown Paint ... I think of paint I normally think of the big shaggy dog that Dulux use to advertise their products. On this occasion I was looking for textured paint and Crown offered a limited, but better, range in terms of colour. The paint is around £20 a pot and your local Homebase are currently doing a 3 for 2 offer which worked out at about £15 a tin which is better value if you need that amount. The tin is standard size with the ususal carry handle, nothing new there. The main difference of the tin is that it has a more expensive looking design. Wilko Quick Dry Blackboard Paint ... had seen this type of paint and found it hard to source cheaply and then found it on the Wilko s site! This is indeed exactly what it says on the tin - blackboard paint! I wanted to paint the inside of a cupboard door in my study so that I had a noticeboard but so that it was hidden. This paint, as I have said comes from Wilko s and costs around £4.99 for a 500ml tin. This is reasonable compared to other places - including eBay. You can order it from the website for delivery to your nearest store for free which is also good. The tin is exactly what you would expect from a paint tin - it is metal and holds paint! Dulux Once Matt Paint ... was really surprised to find myself let down by a Dulux product it has to be said. Over the years I ve used them quite a few times, and this is the first time I can say I ve come away disappointed. I purchased a 2.5lt box of this stuff to do a small box room with. I had previously painted the same box room with a B&Q one coat paint, which was also 2.5lt, and when I d finished I was left with a good half a litre of paint in the bottom of the box. It had covered the entire room really well, and the 2.5lt box I bought had been more than enough.
