Advantages: It works well on the smalls and my work shirts
Disadvantages: It is fairly expensive but the advantage is it is worth it so not really a disadvantage I guess?
As you all know I am a bit of a junkie when it comes to cleaning, most of you who have read the Fairy opinion will know exactly what I mean. I like to try everything new that comes onto the market. I also tend to end up with as many rashes and spots you can imagine as I also have very sensitive skin. So a few years back when ACE appeared on our screens with the usual low budget, yet high profile adverts I was frantic to get my hands on a bottle of this amazing stuff. So there we were again on the cleaning aisles of Tesco’s spending my usual 15 minutes there searching and sniffing for all the new products, I was up and down and round about looking for the ACE. Most disappointed that I could not find this product I asked for assistance and to my delight the located the product for me. ACE is available in 1-litre bottles and I am not sure if they do larger as I have always stuck to just 1-litre. So what is ACE? ACE is safe bleach for all you’re washing needs and is even approved by United Colors of Benetton and Woolmark an accolade not even achieved by many of our daily laundry cleaners! It is unlike many of our usual bleach that it is blue in colour, it also has a pleasant floral fragrance which in itself is a vast improvement from the choking chlorine fumes of Domestos and other big name brands. How To Use: When ACE was 1st launched every bottle had a dosing ball with it, I have a stock to last a lifetime, as the ball was available for almost a year. The ball is like the usual ones we see these days and has measurements up to 100ml’s measured on the side, this is how much ACE is to be used with a regular load of laundry. If you start to buy ACE and don’t receive a dosing ball you can phone the free phone number quoted on the bottle and they can have it out to you with in days, but most bottles laundry cleaners have them or have measurements on the lids, so there should be
no real need to call. You must place the dosing ball with ACE on top of your laundry and add your detergent as normal, via the drawer, dosing ball or tablet bags. You must then start your wash immediately to prevent any damage from ACE due to prolonged exposure to fabrics. You can also add ACE directly to the drawer remembering to measure it to 100mls. Do not put ACE and detergent together as I find out as you will only find you end up having a foam party, great fun at the time but not to good on the flooring!! For laundry that may be heavily soiled you can firstly cover the stain with ACE and follow above instructions, do not allow ACE to dry into your garment, damage may occur. It is also ideal for hand washing with 100mls ACE to 10 litres of water if you have a small sink the bath is ideal, mind your back! It means more work, as you have to wash and rinse your laundry thoroughly, however, to ensure ACE works you can soak for a maximum of an hour. For delicate laundry reduce the time of soaking. As with all products it has Do’s and Don’ts they are as follows: Do’s Test ACE on a hidden part of your garment if you are unsure of what the outcome will be. Always follow the care instructions on garment labels, as ACE is colour safe the no chlorine symbol does not apply. Mop up immediately when spillage occurs using plenty of water. Remove dosing ball if used before transferring laundry to tumble dry. Don’ts Use neat on metallic parts, such as buttons and zips or on rust stains. Delay the start of the wash. Overload the washing machine ACE will not flow through wash evenly. ACE must not be used on your carpets as it will not be completely removed and damage could occur. As with all detergent and chemicals great care should be used when using ACE, if it gets into your eyes rinse with plenty of water and seek medi
cal advise the usual label warning. As I have sensitive skin I always find it better to put on my marigolds when using ACE, as it is bleach it can be quite irritant on my hands, and always rinse hands thoroughly after use. So what is the final verdict = ACE judges decision is final! How did I come to my conclusion! When I first starting using Ace I worked in the catering industry and found that my clothing budget was always spent on new shirts and ties, this obviously had to stop. So when I saw this miracle colour safe bleach I had to try it, the results were fantastic, all grease stains were removed and all colours remained, but not only that my white shirts suddenly became a brighter white. I was very happy with the results and have been an ACE fan since I bought my first bottle. I do not use on all my wash usually the smalls especially white socks and boxers, and then again for my work shirts. It is great for those accidents that we always want to avoid happening but they do, missing your mouth with a big dollop of Bolognese or Ketchup. ACE is good and is the best and is always on the shopping list I hope this aids your decision to buy Dr J from his hidden lab in Edinburgh :o)

- 06/09/07 If you have a store called "Poundland" near to you, it's the best place to buy ACE.
It retails at around the £1.79 mark per bottle in supermarkets (although I did see one shop near Oxford selling it at £2.29!!
Howeve r it is only £1.00 per bottle at Poundland. It's the same stuff so that's a huge saving on one single product. |
