Best air freshener I have used (Air Wick Freshmatic Automatic Spray)

Advantages: Easy to use, leaves house smelling lovely

Disadvantages: Fairly costly, big unit

I never really bothered with air fresheners until I got a dog and worried the house would smell so bought a load in one go - the plug ins the tins you spray around and these which came packaged in a fairly big white container. These are the ones I have chosen to use for at least two years.

They have a variety of fragrances and all except the citrus one I like. I have a few dotted around the house and just find them easier than spraying anything around myself as I know I would forget and find the fragrance seems to last longer than any plug in I have tried.

I usually set mine to 36 mins and leave it on all the time. I found setting it to 9 mins leaves the room smelling strongly of air freshener rather than a nice smell. It can also be set to 18 mins.

You hear the spray sound and this is also a great indicator of when the can is empty as it just makes a clicking noise as the red clip comes down. Also if the batteries run out it stops blinking the green light.

The unit is fairly big but I have mine placed on top of display cabinets in my living room and in bedroom on top of a book case. The price can also be fairly high, I have paid £6 for a unit with a refill and that was half price. The refills I usually pick up for around £2.50-70 but they do last at least 6 weeks for me so I cant complain.

I am currently using one with Rosee Du Jardin written on and it is the most pleasant I have used, it leaves a lovely fresh clean smell in the room throughout the day. It is a fairly subtle smell yet it does get rid of any other smells - wet dog after a walk! (Typical as no idea where I bought this one from and did not see it when I looked in the supermarket last week!!)

I still use febreze on fabrics but for an all round air freshener for your house I would recommend this one to all
