Air wick lavender and camomile candle With the dark nights drawing upon us, I always feel the need to start with my candles, and lots of them! A recent trip to sainsburys found me stocking up on these as they were half price, which given that candles are often quite expensive, was a bargain not to be missed. THE PROMISES... The blurb on the packaging tells me that the scent is reminiscent of freshly picked lavender and camomile and that it will elegantly scent my home. Good news if its true because I do like the smell of lavender. Surprisingly, I don't get any promises about the length of burning time the candle has. PRODUCT AND PACKAGING... The candle is packaged in a well decorated box with the front cut out so that I can see exactly what I am going to get When I take the candle out of the box, it is inside a slightly rounded glass jar, with the candle itself filling about two thirds of the glass jar. The candle is a pale purple colour and before lit there is a slight smell of lavender. Altogether, a simple and quite pleasing design. USING IT... The packaging doesn't tell me how to use the candle but its fairly simple. There are however a few warnings on the packaging such as not to leave the candle unattended and not to use it if the glass is damaged. The warnings are fairly obvious, so I wont go into any detail. The wick itself is quite long and so the candle is easily to light and once lit it doesn't disappear into the wax as I have found with some candles. The candle has been burned for several hours on several nights and so there are several hours of burning time, and it burns right to the bottomleaving the glass bottle almost clean. WHAT DO I THINK OF IT?... The candle does give out a very slight fragrance which lasts allof the time it is burning. It doesn't however fragrance my whole room, and to get any benefit from the scent I have to be standing quite close to the candle. It does however burn continually for several hours and gives a nice warming glow. It is important to keep it away from small children as the glass does get quite hot. The RRP is around £3 which isn't too expensive but for the fragrance I get from this candle, the half price I spent on it is far more reasonable for the candle. Worth buying if on half price offer. Thanks for reading Daniela xx
