A bleach to reach parts others can't (Ajax Scourer)

Since discovering dooyoo I have spent the past few weeks sorting through my box of cleaning agents for products to write about. I remember AJAX bleach from my youth in the 1970’s (gasp), since then our choice seems to increased somewhat. However AJAX still have association with sensible bleach and disinfectant cleaning agents.

Unlike some liquid bleaches it has no strong smell unfortunately the gritty content of the bleach tends to make it more of a risk to sensitive surfaces. They recommend it for toilets, tiles, cookers and other hard household surfaces. My AJAX container did mention that AJAX cream would be a more suitable option when extra care is needed.

My AJAX bleach came in a handy cylindrical container net weight 510g with punched holes in the top section to facilitate a shake to distribute action.

CONTENT amongst other ingredients.

Chloride based bleaching agents. Total phosphorus compounds. Anionic surfactant each less than 5%.

MY OPINION

I found the bleach concentrate effective in the bathroom especially under the rim in the WC (I find it more difficult to reach with liquids). It is more difficult to spray the powder upwards than down, in a downward position you can easily use to much. It does not have a strong odour. I think it is most effective as part of a selection of cleaning beach lacking somewhat as an all rounder. The trade name AJAX does inspire confidence.
