Disadvantages: questionable practical use

if a aesthetically pleasing modern kitchen is the style you're looking for then alessi's juicy salif is the juicer for you!

its tall, war of the worlds type appearance sits perfectly on the kitchen work top. on first appearances you might wonder what it actually is, but on closer observation it quickly becomes apparent.

whilst it scored top marks for design, its practical use is somewhat questionable. the long distance from the actual 'juicer' part to having az glass underneath can cause it to be quite messy when you are squeezing the juice, especially if you are not using a tall glass to catch the juice. style over substance perhaps?

maybe you should think of this as more of a piece of art rather than a practical juice. it is without question a design classic but at £35-40 purchase price it might be just for those who can afford to splash out.

Summary: a design classic that looks good in any kitchen but practical uses are questionable
