Advantages: Really nice , Controllable so won't get too overpowering
Disadvantages: A bit expensive but at least they work
Living with a smoker I am constantly trying out ways to disguise the "smoker's house" smell. I have recently started using Ambi Pur and now when I come down in the morning I am greeted by pleasant smells instead of smokey rooms. They're not the cheapest on the market but at least they work. It costs around £5.28 for the unit and £3.89 for a refill. They come in various fragrances - the one I have been using is 'After Tobacco' - specifically designed to get rid of tobacco smoke. The packs have a "scratch 'n' sniff" patch so you can try it out before you buy. The unit needs to be plugged into an electrical socket and the heat from the socket diffuses the aroma. They are controllable so if it gets overpowering you can turn it down. As I have larger rooms, I generally need to have it on between 3-6 (Max). I keep mine on all day and at this level it should last for at least 4 weeks. For a smaller room you would probably only need it on 1-2 and may get 6 weeks out of it (assuming you are using it 24 hours a day). Ambi Pur now do a 'stand alone' range for bathrooms where you do not have a socket. I bought one of these and am really impressed. I used the citrus one and the perfume is really nice and lemony when you go into the bathroom. It is priced at £3.29 and should last 30 days according to Ambi Pur. I know they are expensive but, having tried everything from scented candles, incense sticks etc. - Ambi Pur is the best!
