~Andrex Shea Butter~
Andrex offer a range of toilet essentials including wipes and toilet paper (or as they call it 'toilet tissue). The Andrex range includes regular toilet paper, toilet paper with aloe vera and also toilet paper with shea butter! The shea butter toilet paper is part of the Touch of Luxury range that Andrex offer and are described as being 'luxurious rolls' of toilet paper. The toilet paper is made of mixed paper from responsible sources.
The outer packaging holding the toilet rolls is a plastic wrapper featuring the gorgeous Andrex puppy. The current packaging has a special offer where you can purchase a teddy puppy and collect 'Puppy Points'. The shea butter toilet paper is of the 2ply variety with 160 sheets per roll. For those interested in the dimensions, each sheet is around 124mm x 104mm and the average roll length is 19.84m.
This toilet paper is available from supermarkets in a 4pk or 9pk.
*Tesco - £2.25 for the 4pk but currently on offer at £2.00. The 9 roll pack is £4.99 and part of a 2 for £7.50 offer.
*Asda - £2.25 for the 4pk and £4.00 for the 9pk.
Whilst I am happy to buy cheaper versions of some household products, I don't skimp on toilet roll. I hate the feeling of paper in general so always looking for something softer than average toilet paper. I normally buy the Tesco premium range but if Andrex is on offer then I will choose to buy this. My son actually picked the shea butter toilet rolls when we were in Tesco as the puppy on the front is like his Uncles dog Leo so this definitely appealed more than the bog standard (sorry about the pun) packaging on cheaper alternatives.
These toilet rolls are of a high quality. They are a creamy colour so would fit in with most decors and look lovely and plump when removed from the wrapper. The paper on the roll is by far the softest yet the most durable I have ever bought - it has a bouncy texture and is easy to use. It tears easily from the roll and feels substantial and lightly quilted rather than being too thick (as the fully quilted rolls are). The toilet paper has a lovely scent - a typical yet subtle shea butter scent is quite pleasant indeed.
I'm not one for discussing my toilet habits but I can confirm this toilet roll performs its duties with complete ease. It doesn't fall apart and is very soft on the delicate areas - no rough, school paper stuff here. This toilet roll is gentle and does the job. My son finds it easy to use too and it seems absorbant. This toilet paper is perfect for using when I have a cold as it doesn't irritate my nose. It flushes well too so no issues there.
These rolls are of a high quality. I find that one roll lasts longer than cheaper toilet rolls as less is needed per use. This toilet roll smells good and is very kind to skin whilst performing its intended purpose with any issues. It is expensive but if bought at the current Asda price for 9 rolls, it works out at just 44p per roll which I feel is more than fair given the quality. The rolls holds together well until the very last sheet is torn off.
5 stars from me :)
Summary: the puppy wins!
