Advantages: Andrex are soft stong and long and I don`t doubt that
Disadvantages: A few pence dearer but you get what you pay for.
At the moment there is a heated debate going on in our house, I say Andrex and the look on hubby`s face says it all.
Last week we went into our local `Instore`, we often find some very good bargains in there.
Directly in the middle of the entrance aisle was the most enormous pile of large packets of white toilet tissue, a whole eighteen rolls for only £2.50.
Hubby`s eyes lit up like a belisha beacon and before you could say `Jack Frost` there were two large packs in our shopping trolley.
I bit my lip, held my tongue and turned the other cheek (so as you see I did all I could to ignore the situation!)
Anyway we traipsed around the remainder of Instore, picking up some Typhoo teabags that were exceptionally good value, with hubby extolling the virtues of these wondrous toilet rolls!
My Aunt has recently heard on the radio that whichever toilet roll you choose to buy and use it makes no odds, they are all the same in the long run.
PARDON ME, WELL I BEG TO DIFFER!
Sorry for yelling but I am going to have my say!
I usually buy white Andrex toilet tissue, the tissue is strong and soft, it may well be a bit more expensive but at least when I put the full roll onto the holder I am not continuously renewing it.
Having opened the pack of `Instores` finest toilet tissue I find that the rolls are minute (what did him indoors expect?) .
As well as being far narrower the rolls are less tightly packed and have obviously got far less paper on them.
If I install a large thick white roll of Andrex toilet tissue I know what I am getting. The roll is tightly packed and will stay on the holder for a good couple of days (there are only two of us!)
The tissue is soft on the skin, it is very absorbent and that Golden Labrador puppy is adorable.
So whereas my `morning visit` was almost a pleasure it has now become a necessity, rather than linger I am down, up , off and away!
My cardboard recycling bin is fast filling up with empty cardboard rolls as we systematically work our way through the bumper pack of value toilet rolls with amazing regularity.
The colour of the toilet tissue doesn't worry me, although Andrex have produced soft shades of natural, white, aqua and pink.
At this moment in time Andrex are on offer at Sainsbury`s at £1.65 for a pack of four so that is a substantial saving.
I just think we have gone down the `false economy` road, lol, and for all it may seem that initially you are paying far less the product isn't lasting anywhere near as long.
So, all I can add to this is that the quicker that we use the rogue toilet rolls up the better I will feel!
Come back Andrex, all is forgiven.
Summary: Nothing will persuade me that Andrex aren`t the best!
