Be Kind To Your Behind
Lets face it most of us tend not to discuss the type of toilet tissue that we use well it is a private matter after all, however after spotting this item in Morrisons the other day I just felt that I had to write a review to highlight how wonderful I think it is. I have always used Andrex toilet tissue favouring it from other brands as I find it a little bit thicker and kinder for the old bot. This particular variation of the brand caught my attention as it was only £1.50 for four rolls and I had not heard of it before it was Andrex enriched with shea butter toilet roll.
This item comes in plastic wrapping like most other toilet tissue does. It is predominantly brown with the traditional Andrex logo and puppy motif on the front of the packaging. The manufacturers market this product as being silky soft providing a feeling of luxury. Tender loving care for your skin. The tissue contains 2 ply tissue, with an average of 160 sheets per roll with each roll measuring around 20 metres. (Don't worry I didn't measure a roll myself it states this on the packaging!!!).
This particular tissue contains shea butter I hadn't actually heard of this before so I thought that I would do a little bit of investigation. Apparently Shea butter is an oil which is extracted from the Karit tree. It contains vitamin A and E. It has beneficial properties in treating an array of conditions and can be used as a moisturiser, for chapped skin, stretch marks, nappy rash, wrinkles, minor burns and a whole variety of other things. You can even use it to cook with!!!
This particular product comes in a lovely cream colour. I opened the pack and immediately was greeted with a very subtle but noticeable pretty fragrance. I was surprised and though to myself how posh. Apart from buying baby wipes for my son when he was younger I really did not realise that toilet paper came fragranced. What can I say I have lived a sheltered life and I don't get out much. It reminded me of the clean fresh smell you get from using a mild moisturiser. Certainly not overpowering however you are aware of its existence. The paper itself is two ply and very thick. Much more so than my usual Andrex original toilet roll. If you look closely you can see little ridges on the paper. However these do not detract from how soft the paper feels against your skin. Due to its thickness you really don't need to use that much of the product for wiping the old derrier however it could in my household be ten feet thick and my son would still use half a roll everytime he visits the little boys room. Therefore it could be economical however unfortunately not for general use in my household. I would also consider using this if I have a cold as it really is ultra soft on the skin hence ideal for delicate noses too. Overall I will certainly be buying this product again it is absolutely fabulous and I really cant recommend it enough.
