Advantages: Soft.
Disadvantages: Not strong or noticeably long.
I bought this loo roll thinking it may last longer since I was on a tight budget and the pack claimed it was 'unbeatably long'. Now, I know it's a bit weird, but good loo roll is very important to me. I just can't stand it all falling apart when you're using it, it's beyond frustrating. Things are stressful enough in life that you need to worry about wiping your behind! That's why I usually go for the 3 ply Triple Velvet, or if I'm feeling in the mood for a really special treat, Lidl does a 4 ply 'Floralys' toilet paper which really is the king of loo roll and it's a great price too.
Now that I am writing this review, I'm starting to appreciate how awkward a topic toilet paper can be, so please excuse if I'm crude at all, I'm just trying to be honest! With the promise of Andrex being soft, strong and unbeatably long, I couldn't resist branching away from my trusted brands to try this puppy-soft paper. Well, I'm afraid I wish I hadn't. This brand really doesn't live up to its claims. Whilst it's soft, fair enough, it's very weak, even for a 2 ply and it's just as well it's long, as you need twice as much! For the price, it's really not worth it. Perhaps if it was significantly cheaper than other brands, it might be ok, but even then, I would rather spend the money and get my usual.
I recently bought Nouvelle, a 100% recycled toilet paper as it was on offer. Really expected this one to fail, but it didn't, it's actually very good. Get them quick; Morrissons are selling 4 for £1, so buy a bunch!
Summary: There are better 2 ply toilet papers out there.
