Andrex Toilet Tissue
Advantages: The best quality toilet roll, can get prizes for collecting points
Disadvantages: They have put CGI puppies on the advert instead of real ones :-O
Andrex is probably the most well known brand of toilet tissue available and they have a large range of different varieties on sale which include classic white, quilted, Eco, and various coloured, patterned and fragranced products. Most are sold in multi packs of 4, 9 or 12 rolls however the more luxurious varieties a more commonly available in 4 packs. The multipacks are often on offer in the supermarkets and sometimes include extra free rolls. For example, a pack of 16 classic toilet rolls can currently be bought at Asda for £6.
I usually buy the classic variety as this is the most widely available however when shopping in the larger supermarkets my preference is always for the quilted product as you really do only need to use half as much which provides good value for money. Without going into too much detail I will just say that it is soft but doesn't disintegrate and nice and thick.
Andrex is always more expensive than supermarket own-brand toilet rolls however in my opinion this is justified as it is a superior product. Some people feel that it is not worth paying the extra for something you are literally just going to throw away but I think that it is worth getting a better quality product as it is something you are going to use every single day so you might as well use something nice.
Another reason why I quite like the Andrex brand is that with each pack you can collect Andrex Puppy Points. So basically there is a code printed on the inside of the plastic packaging of each pack that you can input into the Andrex website and when you have enough (which doesn't take that long) you can claim prizes. I have exchanged mine in the past to get a puppy keyring, soap, a cookery book, a cd, a travel game and free cinema tickets. All of these arrived in the post promptly after claiming and in good condition.
And if you are not already convinced, just look at the cute puppy on the front of the packaging! That reminds me, the only negative thoughts I have had towards the Andrex brand lately is the horrible animated new advert with strange looking computer animated puppies instead of real ones. This isn't doing the brand image any favours so change it back, Andrex!
Summary: Worth paying the little bit extra for the good quality
