If you have read my reviews before, You will know that I don't stick to any brands and I am not a loyal customer of any products. I buy whats on offer but I don't always buy whats cheapest. I buy what I think is the best deal, it's as simple as that.
On washing powders I am the same, I did however stick to fairy non-bio for the first 3 mths of my childrens life.
I also tend to buy whats new as usually there is a introduction price so it's cheaper.
I used Ariel excel gel when it first came out and to be honest I wasn't that impressed. I think the reason being was my machine was on it's last legs and was interfering with the gel.
I have since got a new machine and I must say I really like the Gel, The ariel excel gel that I have just run out of was a Non-bio with Almond milk and honey.
Packaging...
Ariel gels come in a white bottle with a flip open lid. The bottles are designed to be stored on the lid so there is very little amount of washing gel that is wasted.
The bottle also has another lid that comes of the top of the bottle to use for measuring out the gel for use.
This gel has a light blue lid and blue sticker on explaining the product details, how many washes etc etc.
The product....
The gel is really easy to use all you do is fill up the lid, it has two levels one is 37ml and the other is 46ml.
On apperance the gel is thick and a creamy light honey colour, The gel has nice scent of almonds and honey but has that reassuring clean smell that we all want for our washing powders/liquids or gels.
The product produces a good amount of bubbles in the machine even when you do indeed turn the machine down to 15c.
The best thing about this product is that it makes you clothes smell really nice as well as cleaning them.
I also noticed that when drying my towels on the line they stayed nice a soft when using this product without me having to add lots of softerner.
The fact that you can wash from 15c means that it uses less energy so it will save you money on you electricity bills.
Although I have used this on 15 when I first used this product, I tend to do all my washing on 30c and will continue regardless of what washing powder I am using.
An 18 wash bottle will set you back £4.35 at tescos. A larger bottle costs £8.00
It is a winner of WHICHS best buy washing detergent in January this year.
However it is pricer so for me only really affordable on offers as I would need to buy the larger bottle.
Summary: Ariels excel gel almond milk and honey non bio.
