Advantages: Easy to use

Disadvantages: Smelly

I like to think that I am quite good when it comes to shopping, and don't always want to stick with one product. So with this in mind you can see why I would want to try out the new laundry detergent Ariel Liquitabs.

I won't be getting another box. These liquitabs are designed to be put in with your wash, with specific instructions on how many to use depending on the type of wash you are doing.

For example, if you have an average load, that is not too soiled, place 2 Liquitabs in the wash, and if the clothing is badly soiled, stick three in. All very straight forward, and there were not problems with that. However I am sure that you have all noticed that when doing washing there is a lovely laundry smell, and then if you can't hang it out on the line, you get another smell, while the clothes are spinning around the dryer. Maybe I get a bit too excited about the washing smell, but on a fresh day, I think that it is lovely.

Well you can imagine my disappoint when no smell came through after taking a load out of the washing machine that had been washed with these Liquitabs. So thinking that maybe it was a bit of bad luck, in went another load. And due to the fact that it was raining, the first load went into the dryer. An hour later, again took the load out of the washing machine. No nice smell, in fact there didn't seem to be much of a smell at all.

The worst was yet to come. I went to remove the initial load from the dryer, and the most peculiar smell seemed to drift through the room. I wouldn't say that it was a particularly unpleasant smell, but neither was the type of fresh smell you get when doing your washing.

Anyway, I perservered and put the second load in the dryer. The same again.

Thinking that there might be something wrong with the dryer, the next time I did any washing I used my usual Arial and strangely enough the lovely laundry smell drifted through. I can safely sa
y that I haven't used the Liquitabs and doubt I ever will.
