Washing clothes is a must but buying the right washing up powder is also vital, I've tried so many over the years but I always go back to the washing up powder my mum always used when I was growing up, Ariel. It smells great and washes clothes like no other. There is something so satisfying about washing clothes with Ariel I don't get that satisfaction when I use other washing up powders.
I only buy Ariel when it is on offer and I tend to stack up on it. I always find that every few months Ariel does go on offer in Tesco and I end up buying four of the 2 kg boxes. It lasts me a good three or four months and by that time another offer usually comes up. If it doesn't, my second option is Daz. I think it is worth buying in bulk because otherwise I have to think twice about washing the clothes and I hate them piling up. I just cannot buy a box of Ariel for 7 pounds! It really is expensive. Therefore, when the 7 pound box reduces to 4 pounds, I buy them without thinking twice.
Ariel Actilift is a powder with biological action which means it contains enzymes that break down dirt and stains. It is however not suitable for woolen or silk garments so I always get those fabrics dry cleaned. Other fabrics work wonders with Ariel. They come out smelling great, perfectly clean and it really gets rid of stains as if they were never there in the first place. Also I have never had problems with colors fading after a wash which is great.
Ariel is a white powder, with a sandy texture with specs of blue throughout the powder. It has a strong smell but a lovely clean smell. I have to make sure I don't pour too much into the washing machine however because then the clothes end up with white powder specs. I end up rinsing the clothes again. On the other hand, using less powder results in the clothes not smelling that great and they don't come out very clean either.
Overall I am very pleased with Ariel and will continue using it, no doubt about it. I don't think I'll ever like anything else as much as Ariel and have just gotten used to it so much I am now biased.
Summary: Always have and always will love Ariel
