      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Great liquid detergent and eco friendly

If you are looking for a good quality eco friendly wshing detergent then I say you cannot go any better than this one by Asda. For one litre you pay £3.50 but it is very cost effective and lasts for ages as you don't need to use a lot. You can also use the top as a dispensing device, which I personally always find very useful indeed.

The amount you need to use (ie dosage instructions) are printed quite clearly on the reverse of this product so you cannot go wrong. I personally think this detergent is fantastic because not only is it eco friendly but it washes so well at ALL temperature, and I mean ALL. Even at very low temperatures it will remove stains no bother at all and you will find you will not have to use a seperate stain remover.

The liquid is of a good thick consistency and appears to be very concentrated. The smell is wondeful but not too womanly and it lasts for ages after the clothes have been washed, dried and ironed. I love to wear my shirts for work when my wife has washed them in this. I feel all clean and fresh.

Thsi is great stuff and I really recommend it.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Fantastic detergent from Asda.

I will try any product if it's going to save me some money and help me do my bit for the environment at the same time. I usually buy a concentrated liquid cleaner as I don't have to worry about powder solidifying in my old pipes and I know I can get away with using a little bit less just because it's so strong.

This detergent comes in a 1 litre bottle which is plastic with a bit in handle on the side for ease of use when pouring it out. The bottle is just your bog standard liquid bottle with all the usual information on it about how to use it and there are all the usual buzz phrases on there like how it is 'tough on stains' etc etc. Nothing special about this packaging just the normal kind of things that you expect to see on a washing liquid bottle. There is also a cap on the packaging to measure out the recommended amount of washing liquid and as I like to get my moneys worth I usually add about half the recommended amount.

There is supposed to be 13 washes contained within this bottle but I have found that I can comfortably get 20 washes out of it before I have to restock which is fantastic with this costing £3.50 per bottle. 17.5p per wash is quite reasonable for a product that is kind to the environment and gives me long lasting results. We have hard water in our area but I have found this to still be very effective at cleaning as I also use Calgon in my machine.

This liquid has a lovely smell to it that's very fresh and makes me think of the outdoors. The smell does transfer very well to the clothes and I have found this to be a lovely scent, particularly when washing the clothes for my youngest daughter. She always smells lovely throughout the day even if I have got to change her nappy and I love how soft her clothes are after using this liquid.

Obviously my children, like most, create a fair bit of washing for me and get their clothes filthy from time to time. I have found that this liquid can tackle all stains without the need for any other product to be used and I have even been able to avoid using fabric softener since I have started using this. All our clothes have been left wonderfully soft and clean after using this and I haven't had any problems with my washing machine either.

Overall I am very pleased with the results from this liquid and while it's a little more expensive than some of the other products on the market I've found that I don't need to use fabric softener and I can use less liquid so overall it's probably not costing me anymore. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a reliable liquid that can remove tough stains and lives up to all of it's claims!

Great washing detergent that meets all my needs!

After waiting months to save up now to get a washing machine I finally have one and I love it! Gone now are the days of hands washing and squeezing out my clothes and watching them drip all over my floor making dirty and messy looking puddles....no I'm back to the way of modern living once again at last!

The one thing I really wanted to treat my clothes to was some really nice washing liquid. My clothes have had it bad of late and I wanted to really get something beautifully fragrant and that would soften my fabrics as well as make them clean of course.

I spotted this in Asda and took a whiff and liked the smell of it. I then noticed it was eco friendly and bought a couple of bottles to stock up with!

      The Packaging:

Well I bought this (and only saw it in) a 1L size. The bottle is a white frosted plastic with an integrated handle to one side of it and a matching screw on/off cap to the top of it. On the front of the bottle there is a white label and on that there is a picture of green leaves and I am told that it is Asda Eco-Friendly Liquid Detergent 'Cleaning ingredients derived from plant based materials' and that it is 'Tough on stains, great cleaning power even at 30C' and that it is approved by the Vegan society and that the bottle contains roughly about 13 washes. On the back label other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, ingredients, warnings and the size is stated (as I've listed already) and contact details for Asda are given. Nice enough packaging this is and of course it is informative enough.

About The Product According To The Information Given On The Back Of The Bottle:

      No petrochemical based ingredients
      no artificial colours
      100% natural fragrance
      Product not tested on animals
      Approved by the Vegan society
      Suitable for septic tanks
      Biodegradable ingredients
This packaging can be recycled where facilities exist

      Using It:

Well you can either use the cap that does the bottle up to measure the product out with and pop it into the washer machine drawer or use a ball type dispenser directly in the drum with the items you wish to wash (which doesn't come with the bottle).

The dosage instructions are clearly stated on the back of the bottle depending on the water in your area and the sort of soiling fabrics have etc. You can of course use this for handwashing too if desired. All in all I found this easy to measure out the amount I needed as a capful is 30ml and we are clearly told that on the bottle.

The liquid itself is a sort of transparent golden colour and it has a sort of sweet plant smell thats really natural with a sort of hint of citrus to it and is really fresh. Its a very unisex fragrance and I simply love it.

As a washing liquid on my dirty bedraggled clothes I found this to be simply superb to be honest. It removes really ingrained dirt and providing you select the right temperature to clean clothes on I also found this to remove grease and grime very effectively indeed.

Not only that though, although I used a separate and highly fragranced Lenor fabric softener as well as this the smell of this shone through on my fabrics and not only that, that smell was detectable on clothes I was wearing and lingered on stuff like bedding for over two weeks that I had stored prior to needing it. Fabrics also feel really soft and all in all I love this one and everything about it!

Only available in Asda stores priced at £3.50 a bottle.
