Advantages: Freshens clothes, softens them up nicely and leaves them smelling great (for a short time)

Disadvantages: Scent doesn't linger on clothes as long as I'd like

One of the chores I love to do is my washing! Yep sad I know but I do love popping my new washing machine on when its full and then drying it and getting stuck into my ironing of an evening!

This fabric softener I bought in Asda costing me only £1.00 for a 735ml sized bottle of the stuff which I was pleased with as I usually do pay out a lot more for a similar size as I love Lenor but trying to cut costs a little (and after taking a whiff of this instore prior to purchase) I bought it!

The Packaging:

The bottle this comes in is see through and plastic and with a lilac plastic lid/cap to the top of t. On the front of it there is a floral picture shown and we are told that it is Asda 'Chosen By You' Moonflower & Ylang Fabric Softener 'Fragrance burst on the move' and that the size I purchased it in is meant to provide us with 21 washes. Other information on the bottle includes being told a bit about the product and directions for use are given as is the size stated, ingredients and contact details for Asda. Nice enough and informative packaging this is that doesn't look cheap and/or nasty and I do like the way that under the labeling the bottle is ridged for ease of handling.

The Fabric Softener Itself:

Well the liquid is a lilac in colour and rather runny and to use this you simply follow the very easy to understand instructions for use that are given on the back of the bottle. For a normal load of washing we are shown via diagram (and the amount is given in mls too) one capful is needed, for large loads or extra freshness one and half(ish) capfuls is shown and this is also suitable for handwashing of which we are guided to use about half a cap of the stuff.

Scent wise this is a really nice blended floral scent with a nice sweetness to it. That sweetness isn't sickly, harsh or in your face in any way at all and in my opinion although this is a soft floral scent, once used and fragrancing clothes this is nice for all the family including him!

I find a capful in a normal load to be more than enough. It makes my kitchen smell wonderful, clean and fresh and when I take my washing out it smells equally as nice! I then allow my washing to dry naturally or usually pop it in my new tumble drier and I find after using this that fabrics feel smooth, unsoapy and smell great for at least a week after washing them.

Another benefit I feel after using this is how nice my clothes, bedding and towels feel against my skin and that fabrics really do feel easier to iron and all in all I really do like this fabric softener, however with the scent only lingering on fabrics for around a week I do find that is less than my favoured Lenor brand however this is significantly cheaper and for that reason I don't mind that too much!

Very nice stuff, does the job in hand well and is economical so well done Asda!

Summary: Nice enough, economical product this is!
