Asda Kitchen Foil
Advantages: Essential kitchen item, good quality
Tin foil is one of those kitchen products that I could not be without, I seem to use it everyday for a wide variety of things and always need stacks on it as backup in my cupboards. With this in mind I need to be able to buy it at a really good price and I think this tin foil from Asda is definitely a good price.
A roll of tin foil from Asda's own brand cost just £1.26 which when you compare it to brands like Bacofoil at over £2 a roll is really good value in my opinion. The roll contains 10 metres of tin foil and this will probably last two or less weeks in my house which again I think is good value for the price I paid. The tin foil comes in a roll and also is packaged in a cardboard box roll with a metal perforated edge to it so you can pull the tin foil over this to cut it. I have never figured out how to do this well and I don't care whether this is value tin foil or good quality tin foil, I think it still tears a little bit no matter how good the serated edge is so this is not a problem to me.
You can buy thick tin foil but this is regular sized and I have no problems with that as it serves its purpose very well. I would say that maybe when I unwrap something that I have covered with this tin foil the foil maybe rips a bit easier than it would with better quality foil but really there is not much in it and anyway, once I have used the foil I do not need to sue it again so I don't care whether it tears or not.
This tin foil is easy to manipulate. By that I mean if I am wrapping up sandwiches for my kids in this tin foil I can easily bend it and squish it together at the sides to keep the sandwiches nice and fresh. Once I take out food products that I have wrapped with this tin foil they are always still nice and fresh and as good as new.
I use this foil for so many things, to wrap up sandwiches, to cover over bowls of half eaten food, to wrap up half bits of onion, fruit etc. to cover my home made bread that has just come out of the breadmaker and sometimes even for craft projects too.
An essential kitchen item in our house.
