After using fairy washing up liquid for a few years now, I was on the look out for a cheaper liquid that would be just as effective and long lasting as the fairy brand. I do my monthly shopping at asda so I decided to give there own make a try when they were on offer at 2 for a quid, I wasn't expecting much but decided for a quid for 2 it wouldn't hurt.

The description:

One of the liquids that I purchased was the lime and cucumber variety. The bottle is clear and you can see the lime green liquid inside. The bottle has a bright green sticker on the front with bubbles. The packaging is standard and requires all the information needed. The bottle size is 500ml.

The product:

Upon opening the bottle I could smell a lovely lime scent, it was very pleasant. I squirted a small amount under hot running water and added the dishes once the sink was full. I was so surprised that after only using a small amount of liquid, the sink was full of bubbles. I began to wash the dishes immediately and the effort needed was minimal. The liquid has managed to remove all the tough stains without much scrubbing effort.

After the dishes were dry, they appeared very clean with an added gleam. I was impressed and in my opinion this washing up liquid does the same job as fairy.

The cost:

Asda do generally have offers on their own brand produce and if this is the case it is definitely worth picking a few of these up. If the washing up liquid is not on offer then it will cost around 70 pence. Only a small amount of this liquid is needed so a bottle of this last ages.

Overall:

I would definitely recommend this liquid to anyone who shops at asda. It works just as well as fairy and even saves a bit money.
