      Fab, fab, fab!

Up until recently, washing detergent wise I have pretty much bought anything whether it be a liquid or powder as long as it smelt nice enough and was the right price as my washing doesn't get particulary dirty and in most cases its a case of me just freshening things up as I never wear outfits for very long at all!

However a couple of weeks ago I came out in a really bad itchy rash. I put it down to a new soap I had been using and I had never considered I may be allergic to anything before because I hadn't had any previous problems with my skin but it did make me stop and think about the products I was using as I really itched and was getting really annoyed by it!

So the next time I went shopping I decided to get more sensitive and unfragranced things to see if they faired me any better as I didn't want to be itching forever or making my issues worse!

That is when I spotted an 800g box of this in Asda offering me 10 washes costing £1.79 a box. I thought that was reasonably cheap though was slightly concerned that it being called sensitive that it may not be effective at cleaning and so too sensitive sort of thing and at the time I knew that although like I stated earlier my washing only ever needs freshening up that on this occasion I had some bedding that I loved that was covered in tea stains and was concerned it wouldn't remove those!

      The Packaging:

The box this product comes in is shades of blue and a cardboard box and on the front of it we are told that it is Asda 'Chosen By You' Sensitive' Non-Bio Washing Powder and that it is suitable for sensitive skin, has improved softness and has a brilliant cleaning performance at 30c and like I said earlier this sized box is meant to give us 10 washes. Other information on the box includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, its ingredients are listed as are warnings and cautions, size and being told that the box is recyclable and contact details for Asda are given. Nice enough packaging this is which is informative enough and I do like the fact there is a tab that tucks in to the side of it to keep the powder fresh and dry after pouring it out from there.

      The Powder:

Well another little piece of information we are given on the front of the box is that this won a silver award in 2011 and 2012 from practical parenting & pregnancy which instilled a little confidence into me and using it...well I can see why this won that award clearly.

This is a thick white sort of granulated washing powder with a fresh none distinct fragrance to it. It isn't a fruity or floral fragrance its just an airy sort of sweet fragrance really! Its pleasant and reasonably strong but just fresh really!

The instructions or the amount you need to use depending on the type of water and soiling you have is on the back of the box however this is hard to know how much you need because there is no way of measuring it out unless you have some kitchen scales handy or a measurer of you own, me I do have a measuring jug type thing from some other washing powder I used once that luckily I held onto so I use that.

I pop this in my machine drawer (this is also suitable for pre washing with) and use a fabric softner as well (again a sensitive formula one) and thats that I set it to work!

This is fabulous stuff it really is. It makes my washing smell wonderful and for days after it is storeed too and gives it a nice softness to fabrics. Above all my washing is really, really clean. Like I said earlier I was concerned it being a sensitive formula it may not be all that great but it quite simply really is and I would wholeheartidly recommend this to anyone at all!

My tea stains came out of my bedding on a 40c wash with this and I had previously washed the lot on a 90c wash with Vanish soap and different detergent and the stains wouldn't budge so this saved my lovely bedding which I was about to shove in the bin. This also got out grease from one of my favourite tops and not only that this hasn't agitated my sensitive skin at all! For day to day washing this is great but for tougher and more dirtier washing this is great too cos all I do is use a hotter cycle.

I really do love this detergent and as someone who prefers liquids than powders usually I'm surprised I love it as much as I do. This hasn't blocked up my drawer in my machine at all which was another slight concern of mine even though some days I can use this 3 times a day and I have experienced no negatives at all with this and in fact when I'm in Asda later I will pick up another box of it for sure.

      Only availble in Asda stores.

Excellent buy!!!!!! Great value for money x

I had always bought well known brands with my shopping especially cleaning and laundry products but with two messy kids and an even messier husband it always cost me a fortune! I had always used Fairy as my oldest had sensitive skin and according to my granny any other washing powder would make him "Ill". I bought this in Asda as it was on special for £4.50 for 42 washes and compared to £10.41 for my normal box of powder. I am so glad I did! My washing smells great and is still as clean as it would be buying the more expensive brand and to top it off it did not affect my sons skin. I have recommended this powder to a few of my friends and they are all of the same opion! This powder is just as good as expensive products (if not better) and leaves your clothes smelling fresh and is well worth the money!!!
