A very cute candle for owl lovers everywhere.

Whilst shopping in Asda recently and remembering I needed to buy some tealights, I spotted this Owl candle on the shelves alongside the other candles and decorative products Asda sell. It is fair to say I fell in love with it immediately as I love owls and love candles, so this was a must-have for me! And at just £3 it also isn't very expensive. Described as a cute alternative to the standard pillar candles. This small teal owl shaped candle will add a little bit of style and colour to any room of your home. It is also available in cream. I bought two teal owls and decided one would be nice standing in my bathroom which is also mainly teal. The other one I placed in my living room and although it is very cute, I decided to burn that one, knowing that I could always buy another one not to use and that maybe a cream one would be nice standing in my living room for ornamental value. The candles appear to be well made, however it is their cuteness which appeals to me most. When I came to light one of them however, I found that the candle did not burn evenly and instead a well appeared in the middle, which meant that the candle did not last as long as you may expect and much of the outer shell was still standing after the wick had completely burned. This is something I have experienced a lot with cheaper priced candles. I would not have been happy about had I paid more for this candle, but I have found you get what you pay for when it comes to candles and if you want one which burns evenly, then brands such as Yankee are much better quality, although much more expensive. Having said that, this is really a novelty candle and I doubt many people would actually light it. I won't be burning the other one I bought as it looks really cute standing in my bathroom. Too cute to burn in fact. One thing I can say about the one I burned, is that although it created a well in the middle, this meant that it gave off a cosy blue glow whilst the wick was alight, as the shell did not melt very much. I really like the look of these owl candles as they do look so cute when displayed in your home. they would also make an ideal gift for owl lovers like myself and at £3 each they are worth the money. These owl candles are available from branches of Asda and also direct from Asda.com which offers you free delivery to your local Asda store where you can call and collect your purchase.
