~ Asda Pillar Candle ~

These candles come in a few different colours/scents and also in a few different sizes and over the years I have bought many different ones. In my bedroom I have two of the plain white large pillar candles on my dressing table, a red berry medium sized one on my landing window (sat on a black plate) and a hot pink coloured one that I bought at some point last year also in the medium size and this is on my kitchen window, this one is scented too but I can't quite remember what the scent is, it may very well be guava and mango or something similar. So as you may be able to tell I do like to have candles scattered around, I mainly bought the coloured/scented ones because I liked the scent and I do like how they look anyway. The two candles on my dressing table haven't been lit yet as I don't tend to spend much time in my bedroom but the rest have been lit. Not only do they offer a gentle amount of scent but they can add a nice soft light too.

I particularly like the hot pink one in my kitchen as it matches the decor and looks quite funky, I light it sometimes in the night and whilst it doesn't rival the Yankee Candle brand in anyway it does give a nice delicate fruity scent, the scent lingers in the kitchen yet I can never detect it in the living room and the rooms are next to one another.
The candle has dipped in the middle where the wick is and the wax pools, there is a deep hole with a short wall of pink wax surrounding it, only the outside of the candle is coloured, the center is simply white.
At the bottom is a white sticker which holds all the normal warnings about candles and the barcode, when I peeled this off I noticed that it took off a little bit of the pink paint but this didn't really effect the candle in anyway and it couldn't be seen as it was on the underneath.

As with the melting of the pink one, the red berry one has melted in exactly the same way, again the center of the candle is white with just the outside being coloured in red.

The candles range in price from £3 to £5 so are not the cheapest but I have bought them when on offer or in a sale.

They are great candles to have around in a power cut as they are chucky and have a good burning time, I am not sure how long one candle would burn for but the medium pink one in my kitchen has been being burned on and off for about 30 minutes for a couple of days a week for the last few months and there is about a quarter of the candle remaining.

Overall they are good candles and can add a nice ambiance to the home.

Thanks for reading :o) x

Summary: A great candle from Asda that can be found in the homeware section.
