Asda Pink Thick Bleach
Advantages: just as good as the leading brands but so much cheaper
Disadvantages: Over powering smell
I brought this bleach simply because it was on offer at 2 for £1.00. Being on a tight budget sometimes I am always on the look out for the bargins so this seemed perfect. The major leading brands can be very expensive so to find something that is cheaper and still does the same job is great.
The bottle is made out from very sturdy plastic with a red plastic safety cap. The top of the bottle bend to the side and narrows down, making it easier to clean under the rim of the toilet. The safety cap will not turn until the sides are squeezed and turned at the same time. Great if you have little ones running around. Under the cap there is a clear plastic nozzel to make pouring the bleach easier and less chance of it going everywhere and ruining your clothing and other items.
The bottle is bright pink, making it very easy to spot in your cleaning cupboard and it has a white label telling you the product.
Now i never bleach my toilet as i believe it doesnt actually clean it properly, it just bleaches the lime scale in the toilet bowl so my bleach is mostly used to clean out the mop bucket and moping the floors so i dont tend to use alot of it. Normally a bottle will last me for 2 weeks however because this bleach is very thick, this bottle of bleach can last me up to 3 weeks or more. Even after it seems like all the bleach has gone i can fill the bottle with water. give it a shake and can still have enough to mop my floors another 2 more times and it still be very affective.
Asda do a few different scents to their bleach however i dont seem to smell to much of anything with this only other than bleach itself. You can get a very very small amount of a floral scent to it but not enough to notice really. The bleach is very strong too so you only need a very small amount of it and the scent of it can be a little over powering if you use to much of it.
Since finding this product I havent gone back to using the more expensive brands because this does the same job and is a lot cheaper. When the bleach isnt on offer it is normally about 75p per bottle but its not very often that they are not on offer.
I have given this 4 out of 5 for the simple face being it does have a very strong scent and can be over powering if you have to use it thoughout the whole house as I do because every room has laminate and i love that the bleach kills so many germs.
Summary: An excellent cleaner
