I go through a lot of cloths, sponges and disposable towels and wipes and in a bid to cut down on the cost of these items I decided to give the cheaper options a try especially when I seen the miniscule price of them I had nothing to lose and so when I was in store I picked up a pack of their Smartprice sponge scourers amongst other items costing a tiny 14p for a packet of 5.

The packaging is very flimsy and once opened tears very easily so i would recommend having somewhere to store them, I personally hold all my cloths etc in a basket. On first use I used these for washing the dishes. The top spongey side I found very easy to handle, they weren't too big and fitted into my hand with the rectangular shape very easily. The yellow side allowed me to effectively clean off any debris from plates and any marks were easily removed without much effort. The opposite side which is rough but not so much so that it is like a regular scourer, it allowed me to get rid of more stubborn marks but when I tried them on the sunday pots after cooking a roast dinner I found that they were less effective than other brands I have tried but they did get the job done with a bit of extra elbow grease, which for the price I am more than happy to provide.

I did find that they became useless rather quickly, especially when using on greasy pans, stubborn stains and the like but they did do the job effectively enough and for the price I couldn't really expect much more from them. I found they were much better for jobs in the bathroom such as cleaning the tiles and scrubbing the bath, they were good at getting rid of any grime but gentle enough that they didn't scratch the surfaces.

I have been more than happy with this product and have used them for a good few months with no hassle at all. I would definitely recommend giving them a chance, you really don't have anything to lose!
