Disadvantages: It is very thin and does not stick together

WHAT IS IT?

A roll of cling film from Asda Smart Price.

HOW DO YOU USE IT?

Rip off as much as you need to and use it to wrap sandwiches and other foods to keep them fresh while they are in the fridge or lunchboxes.

HOW DOES IT PERFORM?

This is the very worst cling film I have ever used because it does not stick together and it is very thin cling film.  It rips if you are not very careful in how you handle the wrapped food and I always have to use two layers of cling film to wrap everything so that it doesn't come unwrapped. This isn't as important when the food is in the fridge as when I have wrapped sandwiches for my children and husband.

WHAT I THINK

I think this is very poor cling film and I will not purchase it again. I usually use Sainsbury's own brand cling film and that is much more reliable for only a few pence difference in the price.  I think because I have to use double the amount of this Value cling film that it works out to be more expensive. I bought it to save money on the basic items in my shopping basket but it has been a waste of money instead of a bargain.

When I am wrapping sandwiches I have to scrunch the ends of the cling film up a lot to get them to stick and even then my husband has complained that his lunch has come unwrapped during the morning. I have noticed that food wrapped in this thin cling film does not stay so fresh in the fridge and I think that is a combination of the cling film being so thin and it not sticking together properly. I used it over a bowl of uneaten stew two nights ago and when I went back to it the cling film had come apart completely and was just lying in a sheet over the top of the bowl, the broth had gone thick and sticky and that shows it was not protected.

I will not buy this again because it doesn't work at all. It is wrong of Asda to sell products even cheaply as part of their value range if they do not do what they are supposed to.  One other thing is that the cling film does not rip straight so you end up with lots of ragged edges whenever you rip some off and this is frustrating but also makes the problem of wrapping your food even worse.

1 Dooyoo Star but only because I cannot give no stars.

Summary: This is very poor cling film
