Asda Tea Lights
Advantages: good price and last well
When I bought my yankee candle tart burner I used to visit the local discount store for tea lights to place under it but I found that they were often poor quality and I would run out quickly. On a visit to asda a good few months ago I noticed that they sold packs of 100 tea lights for two pounds and decided to buy these instead because at the local discount store I was paying a pound for around twelve!
The tea lights come packaged in a mainly clear plastic bag which just has a black strip with the asda name and product information on it. The packaging is basic and minimal but to be honest it doesn't need to be anything different as it is just holding plain and basic tea lights!
In the bag you get one hundred tea lights (ok, I have never counted them but I am presuming asda are being honest!) The tea lights are bog standard-white wax with a decent length wick housed in a silver thin mental. They are a good depth and look like they are good quality too.
I use the tea lights mainly under my yankee candle wax tart burner to melt those. I find that they burn for around three to four hours if left burning which is what I tend to do. I have also used the tea lights in little holders by my fire in the evening as I like the glow that they give off. The candles have a long wick so they are very easy to light yet I don't feel the need to trim the wick because the flames don't get too high as far as I am concerned.
All in all I think these are great value, plain tea light candles. They aren't fragranced so are excellent for use with a tart burner but they also create a lovely glow and can be used pretty much anywhere in the house to create a romantic ambience.
Thank you for reading my review! I apologise it is short but no idea what else I can say!
Summary: A good buy
