Asda Tea Lights
Advantages: Cheap. Lasts 3 hours. Lovely subtle fragrance.
Disadvantages: Fragrance doesn't last long.
I have several burners around my home for which I need tea lights, and I have bought these tea lights from various sources over the years. I currently am using Asda Scented Strawberries & Cream Tealights which I picked up from my local Asda store. The tea lights come in a pack of fifty and costs £2.75 per packet - which equates to 5p per tea light which is, in my opinion, very very good value. I don't think I have come across a scented tea light which is cheaper than this. The packaging is basic.....but so what(?) as packaging for this type of item is really not important at all.
The tea lights look pretty traditional in design. They are round and approximately 4cm in diameter and are encompassed by a foil container which contains the wax. The wick is bang in the centre and there is enough with sticking out to allow easy lighting of the wick. The wax itself is a pretty pale pink colour which look warm and are nicer than just plain white. Once they burn the fragrance is released which is subtle but there is an aroma of strawberries - although the cream is somewhat elusive. The fragrance doesn't linger very long, but when combined with the aroma from the burner it tends to add a little depth and makes the overall aroma more interesting. Each tea light will burn for about 3 hours and will burn across the whole candle.
Overall, I think these tea lights are good value and I will buy them again.
