Asda Tea Lights
Advantages: easy to light, cheap, get lots in the bag
I love little tea lights to dot around the livingroom on their own, pop in my tea light holders or use with an oil burner, especially now I've discovered Yankee candle tarts. I'm not loyal to any paticular brand but I normally end up buying theese as I do most of my shopping in Asda.
The tea lights come in a clear plastic bag with no paticular order. The bag has the Asda logo on it with the label '100 unscented tea lights' on the front. It's very standard and basic but allows you to see what you're buying with no mistake, so that's good. The tea lighs themselves are also quite basic, a small, white round candle in a little metal holders.
The candles are quite easy to light, I tend to use matches rather than a lighter as I always manage to burn myself with a lighter. There's no smell from them, but they are unscented anyway so they're purelt used to provide a nice warm glow or to burn wax/oils. I don't recommend moving them after they're lit or very soon after blowing them out as the wax melts and spills over the edge very easily. I've burnt myself lot of times being stupid and moving them around so be cautious if you do.
It says on the bag that each tea light should burn for three and a half hours. I'm not sure exactly because I often blow them out and re-light them on another day but I've noticed they do last well and I've found myself re-lighting the same candle three or more times.
Overall, these are great basic candles. You get a bag of 100 from Asda for just £2 which I think is worth every penny. They're also great to keep at home, even if you're not a candle fan, they come in handy during a powercut. I had one a few months back and my house was one of the only ones in the street with a bit of light coming from it thanks to these candles. Definitely give it a go as they're better than a lot of more expensive alternatives.
Summary: Great basic tea lights
