Asda Tumble Dryer Sheets
Advantages: So cheap and easy to use
Disadvantages: Can't use on children's sleepwear
I have been using these Asda Tumble Dryer sheets for a while now. They usually cost me around 90p and are located in the aisle with all the washing powder. You might find them very hard to find though as I do if I go in a different supermarket to my usual one, as the box is very small, and there is only a small selection of dryer sheets to find in a huge aisle, I'm always stood there ages looking for them!
The box is about the size of an A5 sheet of paper, and the box is purple and black. There are flowers on the box, and it does look very appealing to buy. The scent of these dryer sheets is moonflower and ylang. It is a lovely fresh smell, and these dryer sheets really do make a difference to the smell of your washing. My washing machine isn't draining the fabric softener at the moment, it just stays in the tray, I really miss my fabric softener making my washing smell nice! With these dryer sheets, at least if my washing goes in the tumble, it comes out smelling just like the fabric softener in this scent I usually use!
Dryer sheets are supposed to decrease the amount of creases in your washing so you don't have to iron anything. I use dryer balls which leave my washing with hardly any creases already so since I have been using these dryer sheets I'm not sure if they do cut down on ironing, because my dryer balls make sure there are no creases anyway.
The only reason I use these dryer sheets, is to make my washing smell nicer, and it really does. When I run out, you can really tell that you have not put a dryer sheet in there.
The actual sheets are so thin, but very soft to touch. You just put one in your dryer with your washing, and when it's done, it always gets lost in my washing, but when I find it, it's usually just a screwed up bit of cloth, and it just goes in the bin afterwards. You can't reuse them, they don't work after one use. The box re shuts too, to keep them fresh when you take one out. You just pull them out, just a bit like you would a baby wipe or a tissue from a tissue box. You get 40 in a box, which lasts quite a while for such a cheap price. I cannot compare them to proper brands, as I have always just bought Asda's own, and they work just fine.
You are not suppose to use these dryer sheets on children's sleepwear or any clothing labelled flame resistant, it says on the back of the box, as is may reduce the effectiveness of the flame resistance.
I highly recommend these dryer sheets, just for fresh smell it leaves on your washing! They are cheap and no hassle to use at all.
Summary: Definately worth buying to make washing smell nice
