Our house, our pride and joy. We live in a Wimpy apartment that's less than 3 years old. It was new when we bought it and we love it. When we first moved in we kept it spick and span, tidying up our clutter as we went along. These days though, what with the dog, my downright laziness and Rachael being reluctant to do everything whilst I do nothing, the place is often quite a mess. One of my pet hates in life though is an untidy kitchen. So I take the cleaning of the kitchen as my job, why, I don't know because I rarely cook in there. Most I do is open the fridge for my whiskey, or boil the kettle for my Pot Noodle. But hey, a little give and ... Read the complete review

I detest housework, I claim to be no good at it, with no time for it, but the truth is that I dislike doing it and can almost always find something much more pressing to do.......oh, and I am a bit lazy too..... But having said all of that, I hate my house being a mess (although it quite clearly is, most of the time) and when I do get the urge to clean, I do so with a vengence......and on those days, my husband and children leave home for fear that they will either get roped in, or attacked with a mild abrasive cleaner...... My first cleaning target is always my kitchen - My mum used to say that I only cleaned my oven when I was going to move ... Read the complete review

After reading a couple of ops on this product I decided to try it for myself. So a couple of weeks ago I bought a tub after spotting it in my local shop.My initial reaction was that it was expensive at £1.99 for 500g/17oz/300ml tub but this was a village shop so it would probably be cheaper elsewhere and I really wanted to give it a go as the reports were very favourable.I got it home, put it away and forgot about it. I have been a bit of a slob in the kitchen just lately, due to my obsession with watching the birds with all their new chicks, congregating in my garden, plus my Dooyoo addiction.Well they're my excuses and I'm sticking to them. However ... Read the complete review

My Mum swears by Astonish, ever since she first bought it after seeing it advertised in one of the Lakeland Plastics catalogues, and thus it was on her recommendation that I bought some to use myself (she's usually right about most things!) It can cost as much as £2.50 but if you go into a town, try one of the pound shops, as there you can get the same size tub (250ml) for only 99p, or go to Robert Dyas, where it is £1.30. So what is Astonish? Well, it is a little tub of a relatively hard looking substance, which is particularly recommended for cleaning hobs and the older type of baths - those made of enamel. To use it, all you need to do is to dampen a ... Read the complete review

I was complaining about the state of my kitchen cupboard fronts to a friend, saying I had tried lots of different products, when she suggested a product called Astonish, the great household cleaner. She said she uses it on her cupboard fronts for stubborn stains. So I purchased a pot, I started with the worst cupboard front, the extractor fan. This was covered in grease and lots of grime, I was amazed at how easy the grease and grime came off. People are now noticing the difference. Astonish comes in a 500g pot, it is a citrus smelling paste; it is not tested on animals and contains no animal products. It is biodegradable which is good for the ... Read the complete review
