Advantages: CLEANS VIRTUALLY ANYTHING, DON'T NEED MUCH ELBOW GREASE, CHEAP AND LASTS AGES

Disadvantages: NONE YET

Now I don't want to confuse you, but this product says on the tub Marvel. Well I know better as this is exactly the same as Astonish in disguise.
The reason I have included it in this category and forgive me if I'm wrong, is it's the same as Astonish cleaner.
I will write to Dooyoo afterwards and maybe they will open a new category, or maybe just leave it here.

I came across Astonish well over 10 years ago, the reason I know that is because I used to use it before I met my husband and that was 10 years ago, and it was well before then.
I wanted something that would clean my blackend chip pan and had heard several good reports about it.
When my local Betterware man came round , I grabbed him quickly so he couldn't escape without showing me this Marvellous product. He pointed it out in the brochure and I ordered a tub for £5.00.

Marvel/Astonish comes in a 500 g tub and it lasts for years honestly. Now don't get me wrong I'm not the most houseproud person and use it everyday as there's really no need. Every now and again, I scan the kitchen and house for items needing this magic potion to be applied lovingly to their surfaces.
I then give just 30 mins of my precious time and scour away on the most burnt looking and dullest surface I can find to clean. The results happen quickly before my eyes, glistening sinks, unburnt looking pans and Hey Presto!, my kitchen looks new again.

The cleaner comes in a compact little tub, which reminds me of a DIY product, can't think which one, maybe it's a jar of putty, not sure.
The lid is plastic and very easy to get off, I hate lids I've to struggle with. Inside you will see the chalky looking white cleaner and I must admit at first, I couldn't imagine how this stuff would clean my oven, sink etc. I've had a go at scraping some out with my fingers, but I didn't like the feel of it, it was rough and reminded me of a Pumice Stone, may
be I could apply some to my rough skin on my feet!!.
Instead what I do now is apply some to a scourer pad, those little yellow sponges with green scourer on the otherside are the best for me. You can apply the cleaner to the item , then scrub away, then rinse off with the smooth spong side.

*WHAT CAN IT BE USED ON*

I've used it on my stainless steel sink, which at the time was getting duller and duller, I've got a new one now as due to my kitchen being done up.
It really did make a difference, one application later and a bit of scrubbing, not too much now, don't want to take the coating away now do we?
After a good rinse, it looked fantastic, it gleamed, it sparkled it sang Hallelujah, I'm shiney again.

I've used it on my chip pan, ooooohhh, I can hear you all saying, chip pan, what's one of them. Well I'm not that posh with a deep fat fryer you know. I still make chips in the good old chip pan, sometimes I do them in the oven when I'm being a good girl:).
The bottom of the chip pan takes a right hammering and every now and then, it gets a burnt look to it. On a Sunday when I'm having a spring clean, not every week mind, I give it a good once over. I get out my scourer and rub some Marvel/Astonish on it, and straightaway the burntness disappears like magic, how astonishing , how Marvellous, no wonder they call it by this name, (names).

Tonight I've just cleaned my hob rings, as I promised my parents that I would look after it, they bought me it for my Birthday and I promised not to let it get manky and burnt looking.
I pulled the rings off and scrubbed away for a few seconds at the burnt bits, I hope you don't think I live in a Burnt old house where everything is burnt.
No messing here, it was off in seconds, "look mum and dad, looks brand new again".

*0THER USES*

You can use it on enamel, I've had a go on my bath as that's enam
el and it works there too. It mentions mirrors , but not used it on them yet. You can clean your tiles, chrome work , fibre glass and many more items it says.

*ITEMS NOT TO BE USED ON*

Don't use it on car paintwork, it must strip it. I'd better not use it on hubbies car then, it's his pride and joy.
Don't use on non- enamel baths, and not recommended on Silver or highly polished brass. If using on paintwork or wood, it's better to dilute the cloth in warm water, then just apply a bit, then soak the cloth in water again just leaving a little bit of cleaner on. It's better to test a small hidden area first.
I would always recommend using a warm dampend cloth first, then if the item doesn't come clean quickly, then maybe use a scouring pad. I always use a scourer on my oven rings as I know it's been done before and I get the best results.

I actually bought this from Betterware in a 500gm /300 ml tub for £3.99, the price seems to have gone down over the years.I will carry on buying it for years to come as I think it's good value. You don't need much at all, a small blob will do to clean the most awkward of chip pans etc, and it didn't even irritate my sensitive skin. My chip pan and stainless steel sink were shining for weeks after.
What confuses me is the name, is it Marvel Household Cleaning Paste or Astonish, same thing to me.

HAPPY CLEANING EVERYBODY.
